FYI, fig trees don’t like wet or clay type ground, in the ME I’ve seen trees in rocky soil completely dry, also the trees get as bi as a house if not bigger. Also, the longest and deepest roots have been documented as fig trees roots, the roots seek water tables but it doesn’t like to sit in a swampy water. One indication of too much water is that the fig fruits rots as it ripens.

I have about 140 varieties of figs planted all over the property the ones on gray water perform the best because it gets so dry in July and August

Great video! I’m about a year and a half into my food forest progress so stuff like this is a great motivator for how I want to shape my landscape in the future.

Looks good. I have a home orchard in Ga, and this year I added in Pineapple Guava, Arbutus strawberry tree and LSU Gold fig. All three seem to love the heat and the dry. Those could be some good additions to yours. Also, I planted a few Paw paw trees and Chilean guavas as well, but they like shade to part sun.

Hard to tell from video, but I encourage you to double check that you're not growing some poison hemlock in there.

Ignore the comments from the trolls, guys. I love the sounds of the animals in the background, the Cockrell, especially! 😄 And I found this video really interesting. Would you consider doing some teaching videos on how to grow your own fruit and vegetables? As it is very expensive to have them sent over to the United Kingdom. But it sounds like your garden is growing, and your farm is flourishing in so many ways. Keep these videos coming. Much love 😍
