I was married at 26, was married for 12 years to someone who wanted to wait and then couldn't have kids. We separated (for other reasons), and it turned out it was a blessing we didn't have kids. Then I met and married a wonderful Filipina 10 years younger than me and became a father at the age of 41. And promptly began to take my health and fitness much more seriously. Did the ketogenic thing, lost a bunch of weight, feel good. Got an amazing little girl who will be two in a few months. I'll be 59 when she turns 18. I guess that's not so bad. Everyone thinks I'm younger than I am now, so maybe I'll age well.

Hi Travis. I was 38. When I was 35 I dated a 35 yo who said it would be impractical to have children at her age because she would be over 50 by the time her children graduate from HS. But I see women in their 40s wanting children still. People in clinics here don’t recommend having children when the woman turns 40 though, and they openly advocate birth control to their patients.

Im in the older category now but i dont look it at all. I was into health and fitness in my 20s and 30s but because of my long hours at work and huge responsibility getting seriously involved did not become priority. I agree with Travis advise.

I think Travis was born in 1979. Generation X. I think he was under 40 when his son was born. Not really old. A big issue with starting late is that it may be fine for first child, as it was with Travis as he wasn’t old. But if you want a few children, you’ll be pretty old by time last one comes.

This year alone i had 9 blind dates. 7 showed up. 4 continue communication. 2 progressed into atleast a 2nd date. One 36 Yr old backed out bec of our age gap. The last one 46 Yr old is persistent bec im having hesitations bec our priorities and purposes for marriage are not the same, though both of us are Christians who believe in Christ and His word. I would have to see her in person to get things straight why i dont think it's gonna work out.
