Tired of people in the comments shaming the caller for having a kid at 22. By the way he’s concerned, it was probably unplanned (as many pregnancies are). He’s smart enough to ask Dave for help and living frugally (ex: living with parents temporarily, paying off debts, accepting he needs to work more), which is probably unlike half the people in the comments currently that just load up their credit cards. Props to this guy, he’ll be a great father

Yeah but a lot of times if the guy is scared to be a father, than more times than not, he'll end up leaving and doesn't want to man up and face the responsibility of being a father. You're an exception and there isn't a lot of examples of guys like you sadly being scared of being a dad, but man up and still father their child. so good job on your part for manning up and excepting your responsibilities.

If you plan on having biological kids, I think it is ideal to start having biological kids somewhere in-between 25 years and 34 years of age. That is the generally age frame where people have been out of school for quite a while, developed significant work experience, and are generally more financial stable than young adults at ages 18 to 24, possibly financially stable enough to have kids; but they are also not too old and their biological child is less likely to have any developmental, mental, or physical problems than biological children of parents who are at least 35 years old. But if people want to have biological kids as young adults (like the kid in the video) or wait until later in life to have kids, then that's their choice.

@Transistor Jump Conserning permanent hard core decisions, it truly is.
@auntyuber51275 жыл бұрын
@Transistor Jump It is hard core since most get it wrong with dire consequences.
@scorpion8rage5 жыл бұрын
Anyone who thinks having a baby isn't a permanent hardcore decision is either still a baby themselves or just completely mindless. Obviously having a child is probably *the* most permanent and hardcore decision a person can make!
@scorpion8rage5 жыл бұрын
@Transistor Jump I agree .. which is why I don't insult people over these things. Reality is reality though.. just like saying: "Someone who steps in front of a moving train is either slow-minded or suicidal". That's not an insult, just a reality.

I’m 23 and my girlfriend let me know she’s pregnant. She wants me to work while she takes care of the kid at home I’m fine with that. It’s just very hard to make money out here for myself so now doing it for another life form will be tough. But I won’t stop for my future kid.

Absolutely agree... but then again I think most people just have kids as an afterthought of screwing. Most aren't operating on the higher levels of thought you seem to be.

You can divorce, have pre-nup and post-nup contracts... you can't just make another person un-exist after bringing them to the world... that's a mistake / a mess you're stuck with for over a decade, should you change your mind.

Is anyone ever ready to be a father?
@richardcarlson82723 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about 100% ready, but it’s better to be prepared. Having a kid in your early 20’s is just not smart. Better to wait till about 30 when you’re hopefully out of debt have a house and have a wife. Here you’re prepared but still maybe not a 100% ready but in good shape to have a kid
