Wow...thank you for this - 3 days and counting until our trip - so once again very timely. That Tokyo Station Hotel breakfast looks amazing! The biggest fear I now have is overeating! You should see us mack out on Kura revolving sushi! 🤣. Btw, Chirashi is a good way to go if you are hungry, different types of fish over a bed of sushi rice is amazing!

Thank you love, I really feel my magic coming back! It’s been overwhelming taking on so much after my breakup. I’ve had so much doubt, fear and a lot to learn. But this trip has really helped bring it all together for me! I’m finding so much confidence in myself and sooo much joy in travelling, filming, making the videos. We stayed in Ginza when we went in February and it was amazing . I used klook for all our tickets including Disneyland and portable wifi , so convenient 😊

Hi Phoebe! Welcome to my favourite Asian city! When I was in Tokyo I slept in Sheraton in between the two Disney parks, that was quite an experience on itself. But the breakfast you got at your hotel is so fancy. So much choice and much better than the basic bread we usually eat. To be honest, when I was traveling in Asia for two weeks (South Korea and Japan) I had no IBS issues whatsoever. The public transport in Tokyo is indeed very easy to use and to get to places. Shibuya is my favourite district in Tokyo. By the way, have you ever visited a cat cafe in Tokyo? It’s an amazing experience, similar to the hedgehog cafe. Oh and remember the Theme Park Efteling I told you about last week? I just visited today and the single rider queues saved me so much time. Thanks for sharing your experience and have a great week ahead 🤙

What a great time you obviously had in Tokyo! You certainly found some unique and fun places to visit! In your first Japan video (and in your IG posts) you were putting the places you visited in large font across the introductory shot which I honestly really liked. I suppose I like those because it conveys in a contemporary way your location while still drawing the viewer to the entire frame of the shot. I'm certainly not making a negative comment...it's just the first time I've been able to tell you how much I personally liked that style. Good tease at the beginning...this time not only with fast images of what is to come, but also a verbal tease of the hotel! Your music has been so much "happier" in this series...but not quite as happy as James was winning his Pikachu! (sorry you lost the racing game) Most jealous of real wasabi. Once you have the real stuff, you can never go back to the bland paste. "Goooooood morning you guys!" Oh, how I've missed that! I know it was a good morning for you and now it will be for me! :D The tease was right--that hotel looks absolutely stunning! Each of the SLH you've showcased just get better and better, and this one was an absolute jewel. Oh, please stop with the endless pictures of each of the 100 dishes! Making me hungry! ;) Dang that certainly looked like Toyko's Best Breakfast! How could it not be? My go to in a sushi restaurant is a Chirasi Bowl (the bowl you had at breakfast). So good. (I judge restaurants on that dish). Always been a fan of your video set ups for your meals. You set the camera in such a way that it makes us feel like we're there eating with you. I imagine it must have been a bit intimidating doing that for the first few times while traveling solo, but you've become completely comfortable with it (or, at least, you appear so on camera!). I know James is there for this trip and that I'm sure helps, but I do mean it--you appear completely at home with this, as if you know we're there with you. The Historic Print Shop must have been fascinating! The shot of your lunch at Ginza Ibuki...low lighting...tight space...and yet, what a perfect shot of that plate. Shadow, color, everything. Well done! (Also great and genuine promotions for services that you obviously used and relied upon during your journey. Tricky to do and you do it extremely well). Shibuya Sky. Sometimes, you need only pictures and images to tell the story. Great work by you and your cameraman (James is clearly a good friend!). Ok...I've heard of a cat cafe. Even a puppy cafe. But hedgehogs and pigs? Wow...Japan really has everything. The video of you slowly lifting the hedgehog into the shot truly made me laugh. Wait...wait...wait...TWO "GMYG" in one video! Woohoo! :D Phoebe: I'm so happy that you were able to spoil yourself with such a fun evening in Tokyo and that you spent that time enjoying it with your friend. You certainly deserved such a great time! KZbin time is weird. How are you doing right now? This trip was completed some time ago for you, yet for us we're only on the 3rd video and you've only just left Tokyo to us. I can only assume that you are now back and either home or on another journey. And I do hope that you are still carrying with you the joy and happiness that you had in Tokyo and shared with us in these videos (especially Disneyland). Rob! I was excitedly awaiting your comment/detailed review on this one haha :D Don't worry, I absolutely know you're not making a negative comment. I enjoy chatting about this stuff with you here! So much work goes into them and it's nice to have all the little things noticed and have a space to talk about it. Let's talk about the big letters! I loved them too :D I'm so glad to hear you liked them! You would've seen in my IG stories I was playing around with typography and loving it - I want to carry that across into all my content on socials and here on YT, to give it more of a 'me,' feel! BUT it's not quite right... I'm not quite getting it right in Premiere Pro at the moment so until I can get it exactly how I want it, I won't include it. But, rest assured, I love it too and I'm working on getting it right in the background :) hahaha yesss you got TWO GMYG's! I really feel like I'm starting to find my feet in all of this. It was so overwhelming and scary when I was faced with doing everything by myself. Little Grey Box is a whole business. I didn't know if I could do it and I felt so much pressure. But this trip really changed a lot for me. It has given me SO much confidence in my ability to make decisions, run my business by myself and make great videos that people enjoy. More than that, though, it's given me confidence in my ability to be happy :) I don't know if I'm explaining that right. I hope I am! Yeah, you're so right, this trip was a few weeks ago now. I wanted to ease back into things so I figured I'd go for a few weeks, film lots and then have time to figure out the editing and see how I felt and, you know what.... the second I got back home I wanted to go away again :) This whole Japan trip has been so inspiring for me. I feel SO connected to my path and I am LOVING making the videos! I can't tell you just how happy all of this is making me. The travel, the filming, the editing. All of it. So I'm currently pulling together a whole lotta travel plans.... I figure I'm just gonna go all-in on myself and my happiness this year! Woah, huge comment there haha P x

I completely understand both the positives (setting my own schedule, taking on what I want and declining what I don't, etc) as well as the challenges (how am I gonna pay the bills this month?). It's quite daunting and terrifying. But the rewards are so absolutely worth it. When I began, I was terrified and lacked any sense of self-confidence. But, like you, I found it. And, along the way, I found my inner happiness as well. You are explaining it just right--you and I understand. Keep working on the lettering--you'll get it. Once you're happy with it and it's right where you want it, you'll know, and it'll be spectacular! Looking forward to the next adventures with you.
