2 Arrested for Death of 1-Year-Old at Bronx Daycare 9.17.23

NYPD: On Friday, September 15, 2023, at approximately 1441 hours, officers responded to a 911 call of multiple aided children inside of 2707 Morris Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the 52 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 1-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive, a 2-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive, and a 8-month-old female unconscious and unresponsive inside of the location. EMS responded to the location and removed all the aided individuals to Montefiore Medical Center where the 1-year-old male was pronounced deceased. The 2-year-old male is currently listed in critical condition and the 8-month-old female is listed in stable condition. A fourth aided individual, a 2-year-old male was removed via private means to BronxCare Health System, where he is listed in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing.

Sounds like the drugs were accidentally put in the food. I don't think cameras would help because it was done in a room where the children had no access. New York State has very high standards for anyone who works with children. Even volunteers have to be vetted, so how did these workers get permits? Were they illegals who ditched their IDs at the border as so many do nowadays??

Sometimes the owner don’t even work at the daycare. We knew of one that was owned by a man and his wife presented as the owner but he was caring for kids too. Nothing against men but nope.

I just finished cooking an early dinner and after reading your comment I couldn't for the life of me look over at my utensils, skillets/pots & figure out how drugs could be accidently put in the food which I am lovingly preparing. Now if these fools are using the same cookware (with harmful leftover residue) to manufacture they're Dope stash then carelessly cooking for little precious tots because the whole Daycare operation is just a front for the actual enterprise they got going on anyway, then okay I can see it.... Still calling it an accident; it is not!

Omg here in Orlando FL we hurt for those families. They must have known that they had that relative renting that room and they knew what he or she was doing. I’m still crying for these parents that lost their baby and for the children who are still in the hospital. So sorry for there loss .

I agree with Joann, there's no way the daycare owner had no knowledge that those Kilo Presses weren't there and according to the news, there was a surprise inspection last week & was given a "Pass" when the place looked in such horrid condition, ..so are these city workers also going to be investigated?

Sometimes you have to do what you need to do in order to provide for your family, but I truly thank god that I had help and a strong family support when I had my 1st child/son. He went straight into pre-k, kindergarten, 1st grade and so on. I don’t trust daycares especially ones run out of apartments 😩 Praying for the other children’s involve and god bless the baby boy who didn’t survive 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
