Is your statement regarding not reporting retirement investment balances still accurate for the 2025-2026 FAFSA form? In several walk-thru videos I have watched, it shows a screen for both the student and the parent regarding retirement investment amounts. Why should those not be reported on those questions for the 2025-2026 FAFSA form?

I have an adopted child and a biological child entering College 25-26 the adopted chid is supposed to be able to attend any Texas colllege she is accepted to with free admission how do I report this?

My sister and my husbands cousin have each opened 529 accounts for my son who is set to start college fall 2025. So, those are accounts for my son but not accounts from my husband and I. Is that something we will have to report on the FAFSA?

Would that mean theyre monitored as well? Will those accounts impact the college kid in regards to filling out fafsa?
