I was just at a wedding in Prince George, BC. The groom’s mom has Newf roots and a group of about 15 Newfs flew out. I know that there’s good and bad in every crowd, but MAN!! These Newfs just loved to mingle, party and have fun! Every time I’m around Newfs, I find myself wishing I was one! Actually, about a year ago, I went to see Come From Away (the live musical) in Calgary. I drank a shot of screech, kissed a rubber cod and got certified an honorary Newf! LOL Love your videos Bob! Simple and authentic!

Love the cabin repair videos and the videos just bumming around the cabin, perfect. Whom am I to suggest but what about a small grill in the bottom of the BBQ to hold the coals? Might use less coals and if you wanted to have fire in the bottom and put wood chips on the bottom grill part you could use it like a smoker.

Livin the life yeah boy, that’s for sure. Couldn’t get any better. When I was young, it was the new guy that cleaned all the trout for my dad and his friends……so I cleaned a LOT of trout. I was taught to slice the gut, and with a small knife, pass under the gills, put pressure with your thumb on the back of the blade, amd you can pull the gills and guts, and if you get it just right, even the two front fins, in one shot. We all got out own style, but that was trout cleaning, trawler style 😀. I still got that little knife that I got in N Ireland. They wouldn’t let me get any bigger, because of the fighting back then, but it turned out to be perfect in the end.
