@HawkProDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Yep that would make sense to me. How much did you put in your extractor I wonder? I know it has a maple smell but it shouldn't "last" in terms of how it smells after it dries. I find it to be very forgettable once it dries....the smell shouldn't stick around

I used a hot water extractor with baking soda and vinegar for years before I discovered Bridgepoint Systems. Yes, I bought into detailing upholstery cleaners but soon realized they just weren’t adequate for what I needed. Once you use something like Bio Break, there’s really no going back.

Thanks man! I've had some people tell me they have tried bio break and didn't love it... I'm like.... what?! Lol I just wanted to have Tom explain the magic. Basically he uses high quality raw materials...I had no idea that phosphates could help...I know they're way more expensive. But 42 bucks a jug for bio break is nothing... one scoop a job and it lasts forever
@Reaper-Jim2 жыл бұрын
@@HawkProDetailing it’s actually not that expensive considering how little you use. I mean, 1 ounce per gallon is more than enough to crush 99.9% of stains/dirt/grease. It’s also an almost immediate dissolving product … that part is so important. It mixes very quickly. There ARE products like P&S Carpet Bomber (and the like) that are somewhat effective but they don’t come close to what a professional grade cleaner can do. I have, literally, not run into anything I can’t clean 100% with Bio. Magic? I don’t know … but winning? Absolutely. 😊😊😊

bio break as your pre spray, you spray on...let dwell, then agitate. flex ice goes in your extractor basin, it's an acid rinse so it will help neutralize the high ph left in the carpet from bio break

Hey Nick - looking a new fabric cleaners for my shop. We currently use Meguiar's system. So it uses Fiber Rinse as step 1, which is akin to flex ice as a prespotter to neutralize and remove tannin stains. Do you need anything like that before using Bio Break? Or will it work on tannin stains as well?

So for interior details where you don’t want to bust out a big extractor and don’t have time to wait for encapsulate products to dry what do you recommend? We offer a heavy interior or basic interior. Heavy includes extractor but the basic does not and we are most efficient in the basic package.
@HawkProDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Encap products don't have crazy dry time...I would strongly encourage you to buy at least one air mover and that does carpets pretty quick... unless you absolutely flood with heavy extraction rinse
@matthewgibb26402 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick great video. What Tom said about the janitorial supply chemist not able to make the formulas he wanted is so true. Unfortunately in most industries but especially ours there's too many marketing companies all about dollars and with poor, average or only par level products. Compounds and polishes with solvents that attack the plastics of the bottles it's in so the bottles sink in on one side, they tear at paint to correct so make finishing harder to achieve rather than polishing to correct, paste formulas because they can't make the formula hold together if it's a liquid or don't want to spend the money to do so unlike my teachers products which are a true liquid and unique. A low percentage of active ingredients are common as is watered down products but quality raw materials are getting harder to source and pricier. I saw a product in the video called encapsu clean, do you use that? Encapsulation cleaners are awesome, extraction is not always the needed method for cleaning car interior fabrics and ignore encapsulation tech and your missing out
@HawkProDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matthew! Yep I love encap cleaners but nasty carpets usually need extraction. I've tried to go just encap but it doesn't always meet the moment on nasty interiors
@matthewgibb26402 жыл бұрын
@@HawkProDetailing yes you are correct but on nicer cars, encap cuts the need for extraction by 25 to 50%. Sometimes extraction is the only answer. I have heard that using hot water sets some stains in but maybe thats with laundry not seats and floors.

Nick, Would you choose Bio-break & Flex Ice combo over Releasit's Encap-clean & Encap-spot? I'm looking to make a purchase but want to get your recommendation for auto carpeting, upholstery & headliner cleaner. @No1WatchesUrTTV6 ай бұрын
There is no oxy in bio break. It’s all about the raw builders that cost the most aka Sodium Phosphate. Tom uses phosphate, surfactant, citrus solv, protease enzyme in bio break. Oxy clean is sodium percarbonate with a lot of cheap fillers.
