I want to learn more about suspension setups period but definitely for this bike and how removing the dual high mount exhaust to a single low exhaust plays a role.

So a 36 FW and 42 RW tire pressure good for street riding?? Because i put my tire pressure to 34 FW & 36 RW like it says on my sticker on the bikes frame.... Thanks

Higher pressure = greater longevity for the rear tire so you can choose whatever pressure you want based on the roads you ride and the speed you ride.

Was that video put out especially for me :-) ? Finally some info on road tyre pressure - but would be great if You could talk a bit more about the revalve for the shock absorber as there is no slow speed compression adjustment and I guess the only way to get the comfortable ride on the road is to revelve the rear shock. Thank You
@catalystreactionsbw5 жыл бұрын
The revalve portion refers to the position of the adjusters. If you are in the first or last 25% of the settings a different engineering solution is required. Toward maximum requires more of compression and or rebound, towards minimum requires less compression and or rebound

I'm definitely getting this video, I've only got about 10mm of chicken on the front (none rear) but I'm running Michelin Power RS. what pressures would you suggest for 160lb rider, fastish/twisty road riding, please? thanks
@catalystreactionsbw5 жыл бұрын
Chicken = profile differences between front and rear. Staring point would be 36 front and rear, then try 38/38 and 40/40 if you are heavier. Don't drop below 32/32 as a cold pressure due to the soft carcass.
@krisknave5 жыл бұрын
Dave Moss Tuning thank you! Since day one I've been running 36/36 but given your comments in the vid about not having much chicken on the front, wondered if i was way off here. Thanks again.
@catalystreactionsbw5 жыл бұрын
@@krisknave Not way off - that is due to profile and pressure. Sharper profile +_ higher pressure = more unused tire.

Great videos Dave, I've just subscribed. I created a video and mentioned tyre pressures and kicked off a conversation on social media platforms which brought me to your channel. Can I ask you about cleaning the tyres. I contacted Michellin who recommend water and mild soap, and scrub them to remove any product which may have landed on the tyre when washing the bike or cleaning the chain. What are your thoughts on tyre maintenance? All the best!
@catalystreactionsbw3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing and welcome! Tyres often get covered with chemicals from cleaning your bike, the rear far more so with chain lube etc. We scrub car tyres with a brush so why should motorcycle tyres be any different? Mild soap and water is all I have ever used baed on (like you), finding out manufacturer's recommendations.

@@catalystreactionsbw Thanks for the reply. You said exactly what I wanted to hear, I’m pleased to hear I’m doing it the right way. I’ve been experimenting with tyre pressures but have never checked if I’m sitting twisted on the bike, I’ve added that to my list! 😁👍

I also ride these speed triple and my handlebars aren’t right too. How can i fix this the right way? Many thanks.

dbtrackz33 thank you. Probably a stupid question but how do you do that exactly. I don’t want to do something bad.

I mostly do street riding and honestly dont go hard in curves as im in new york so its mainly city riding with occasionally highway runs.. so what tire pressure do you suggest on front and back.. I have a 2018 Ducati Monster 821
@catalystreactionsbw5 жыл бұрын
Start at 38 front and rear for a week. Then try 41 front and rear for a week, then 36 front and rear for a week. See what pressures allow the tires to work best for you, your roads and your speeds.

Does speed effect tire pressure? If your going 160mph should the pressure be less?
@Trotsetukker5 жыл бұрын
heat effects tire pressure. more friction is more heat. speed effects friction, just like breaking.
@JamchesterBoozle5 жыл бұрын
No expert but I’d suggest more speed generally requires more tyre pressure as the tyre will deform more with more heat
@Trotsetukker5 жыл бұрын
@@JamchesterBoozle dude, didn't you understand my reply? the tire pressure will increase because of the heat. so at starting point (cold tire) your pressure should be less. track racers can go to less then 20 psi tire pressure.
@JamchesterBoozle5 жыл бұрын
Trotsetukker yes i did and I wasn’t commenting to you
@Trotsetukker5 жыл бұрын
@@JamchesterBoozle but your answer is wrong. you shouldn't run a higher tire pressure. since the pressure increases because of the heat.

What is correct tyre pressure in Kpa.
@catalystreactionsbw Жыл бұрын
Dave Williams, editor, replying here. My apologies. I try to include that (bar which is just Kpa with decimal point in different place), but I overlooked it that time. Almost any search engine will have quick conversion box "psi to kpa".

I don't think that bike that makes You do not nice things should be called 'nice' - Speed Triple is the most fun You can have below 100 mph
