2 Day TOURNAMENT Salmon Fishing Adventure on Lake Michigan

In this episode, I join Team Riverside to compete in the Manistee Tri-Port Challenge Tournament. Captain Paul has been chartering out of Manistee, MI for nearly 50 years so needless to say, I was very excited to join these guys for this tournament fishing weekend!

Fantastic video Kyle. Truly brings me back to the days of salmon fishing in Southbay on Manitoulin island. There is nothing like leaving the marina and heading out on to the big water for a day of Salmon fishing. Nothing compares. Your video really brought that feeling back to life. Great work!

Great video. Great fishing team. Im not a tournament fisher but just wondering why the tournament starts so late at 6 AM? Seems like more big king salmon would be caught if the tournament started before sun up.

Here on Huron we usually do great with Lakers but during the tournaments we couldn't get on them..put us in the mid bord. We was short 3 Lakers

Okuma cold water reels mostly! I’m not exactly sure which line Paul likes to run on his down riggers reels but typically a braided or wire line is best for sea flees.
