Our last hike in the Svaneti region of Georgia, a short 2 day trek linking Upper and Lower Svaneti with some fantastic Caucasus views (although it was a little 'atmospheric' for much of our first day!). Plan your own hike with our full guide over on the blog - www.goingthewholehogg.com/ushguli-to-chvelpi-via-latpari-pass/ Cheers! Kim & Del

I just discovered your channel as an novice hiker in Korea. I want to say that these videos are stunning! Thanks for capturing this beautiful landscape and taking the time to produce such high quality experiences. Peace from a Welsh butty in Changwon.

Nice stuff! We did that section a couple of years ago without a camp in between, also doable even with a misc crew of not quite olympic athletes. If you can catch it, Soso's guest house (=family home) further in the village is excellent and he drove us to Kutaisi in the morning for a good package deal
@GoingTheWholeHogg3 жыл бұрын
Hehe, sounds like a fun crew! Yeah, I've heard of Soso's place but don't know a location or any other info to share with people. Good to know it exists though!

Georgia doesn't seem to have been on the radar for very long. Excuse my ignorance, was it, or is it, still classed as "eastern block" territory ? I think it's an independent nation now maybe ?
@GoingTheWholeHogg3 жыл бұрын
@@martinforrester8249 Yeah, it was part of the USSR, and has been independent since 1991. Tourism has definitely been growing here over the last 5+ years and I think it will continue to do so!

and from Latfari pass you take normal way ( jeep's road ), there is another path, from Latfari to Leusheri ( Leusheri is after Chvelfi )
@GoingTheWholeHogg3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, the one going towards Mami. I've read about this route but it sounds a bit overgrown in sections, and a bit tricky because of a landslide from what I remember.
