Viennese here. I am happy that you did more than just Rathaus (City Hall) and Schönbrunn Palace. I would never recommend going to City hall Market on the weekende or at night. It is way too busy. My favourites are Maria Theresienplatz and Altes AKH Campus. Also Spittelberg for food, because you get food from many different countries there. Karlsplatz for handycrafts. I might need to go to schönbrunn palace market next year. I havn't been there in years and they just reopend this year with a new concept.

The City Hall was gorgeous to see but is a tad crowded 😅 we didn't try any food there because of the lines. So many great options all around! It was magical being able to explore the Christmas markets we could!

Thank you for taking us to the Christmas markets. Unfortunately, I can't commit 40 minutes of my morning to watching your video that I would like to see it. Edited down to 15 minutes.

Lucky you!! This year the Christmas Market at Schönbrunn got an upgrate! All the years before it was a great and nice Christmas Market (some of us Viennese think it was better before, some since this year) but since 2024 there is much more to see and explore

Wow, that is lucky! We might try and find an older video to see what it was like since that's been mentioned a few times! It would've been great to visit every market but that just means we'll have to come back ☺️

@@morristoseeWell, too bad for you! You HAVE TO come back! 😂 There is so much more to see. ❤

If you do any more holiday markets, please include shots of the crafts/gifts - especially the great Christmas decorations like wooden & straw items.

Of course, we tried our best.! Some vendors aren't okay with having their items recorded which makes it a tad difficult. We always ask for permission before recording ☺️ we'll try to get even more in the future! Happy Holidays 🎊🎄

Viennese person here, as you realized taking the CAT is the much more expensive Option, you can just take the ÖBB train into the City, a lot cheaper 😉 the "kaasspatzln" are more little dumplings, not so much noodles. As it was already mentioned by another viennese person, i am happy that you did not just visit the overcrowded, touristy markets.
@morristoseeКүн бұрын
We blame the lack of sleep for buying the more expensive option 😅 we're glad we were able to experience a few. The kaasspatzln is living rent free in our heads 🤤

Well a Käsekrainer is not a Bratwurst, it is a "Krainerwurst"/Krainer sausage" but additionally filled with cheese (="Käse" and the ratio of cheese in the filling has to be at least 20%) therefore called "Käsekrainer", only a Bratwurst is a Bratwurst and therefore also labeled as such.. "Bratwurst" is therefore - not - an "umbrella term" for every random sausage from the grill, but it is a specific term for a specific type of grilled sausage but which has many regional variants in Austria + Germany..

This makes a lot more sense, thank you for sharing! Käsekrainer's are 🔥🤤
