There was probably one, maybe two, keepers on that log and they were being really finicky. Every time I tried to make a cast at them either a smaller triple tail or a rudder fish would beat them to it

Marathon is where I first fell in love with ocean fishing. I remember catching a million Spanish with my Dad back when I was a kid. Just a free line shrimp and let it go into the current.

I have a 22-23 ft Bay boat a lot like that one and we have taken it out around 35 miles so it’s cool to see another not huge contender or seevee run out all the way to the Marathon humps🔥
