Do you think you can see most of what Kyoto offers in a day? We were thinking of doing a day trip to Kyoto from Osaka. Less changing of hotels that way.

Depends how much you wanna see. But definitely not. If you only have 1 day in Kyoto, I'd say pick 1 or 2 places to visit because you'll want to stop and look at things along the way.
