The no load terminal voltage of a separately excited dc generator is 382v when it runs at 1600rpm. The armature resistance is 0.05 ohm. If the generator runs at 800rpm and supplies a load current of 200amp, the terminal voltage is ? Please solve this question

no load vt @ 1600 rpm = 382V i.e no load Ea0 = 328V ( assuming Ia to be very small value at no load ) Ea = k(phi)(speed) as it is seperately excited gen and phi is not varied Ea is proportional to speed Ea0/Ea1 = w0/w1 = 1600/800 so Ea1 = 191V @ 800 rpm from this you can find Vt using Ta value and Ra value..

Sir, does the armature drop also reduces in the case of load chara with arm. reaction as mentioned in the video? Why?

I am sorry that I am not able to understand the doubt, can you please elaborate....

Oh yes..it.was a typo..thanks for pointing it out...the armature drop increases...I accidently wrote it...thanks anyway....

Sir, how does the terminal voltage depends on speed?

sir in 11.13 you have not shown the graph of Ea with armature reaction effect will it be parallel to Ea without armature reaction with the decreased value or like drooping graph

sir Ia=(Ea/Ra)--Vt/Ra which is of the form y=mx+c so it should touch both Vt axes and Ia axis at Ea nd Ea/ra??
