Ive found the dc04 cyclone tops with the little piece that sticks out will fit the cyclones without it without sucion loss because of how the seal is. DC04s are my fave dyson. good to see some more dc04s from you Sam!

I did the same just put a screwdriver in and pop the spring back into the little grove

You can also tell if it’s made in Malaysia if the rating sticker says made in Malaysia by dyson ltd malmesbury then it’s made in Malaysia.but if it only says dyson ltd malmesbury then it’s made in the uk

as you know sir, 4 ounces of weight on top of the brush roll housing will make the spring action on the internal hose a moot point. Please test on one of them to see what I mean, cost in the range 1 pound.

Yes you can, but once collapsed the hose will revert back in a shorter time. I have the Dyson vacuums refurbished and after about 6 months of standing the spring loses the tension. The only way to keep it fresh it to disconnect it, but on a daily use not very practical. the hack is a permanent fix and can be removed any time with no damage. for my costumers it is the proper fix

Love your videos! I bought a batch of 4 dc04s in a terrible state for £10. Done them all up and sold them on for £30 each. How much did you sell these two for? Thanks

Very nice! Can't fully remember now but probably £55ish each back then. Wouldn't happen now, lucky to get £40 around here for a good 04!

@@beko1987 I agree completely! Because it looks outdated and isn't as powerful as the dc07 they tend to go for a little less. I once managed to sell one for £40. I put them up for £30 as some parts were brittle so it was only fair. One woman loved hers so much she came back to buy a second one for her mum! Had so much fun repairing them, you can completely frankenstein one together. Keep up the good work!

My dc04 is an English one and says DC04UK on it,same with my uncles dc05.Says DC05UK
