So cute, all three of you snugged up in the hammock! You are so right about hammocks. I camp with one and actually sleep in one every night! I never have an ache or pain while sleeping and I can actually stay in my hammock until I want to get up rather than having to get up because my back or hips hurt. Wonderful night out, thanks for sharing. :)

Your comment about two wet dogs in a tent made my outdoorsy wife guffaw. I will say the winter can be far drier than most people know. But you’re right at the start of the melt so the top layer of everything is soaking cold now. I love your gear demos.

This is definitly a feel good video. Really glad that the politicos had a moment of lucidity and canceled the ban.. for now....maybe I missed the comment but I didn't see a camp fire ...so I presume that's still considered really dangerous with 2 feet of snow ! I know winter is on its way out for you but . As a snowmobile rider of meany moons here is a tip / trick . . Over ride the trail u keep using . What do u mean . So your tracks are 20 inc or so wide . Over lap the left side by half of the track when out riding to camp . Stay half each time you ride . Y . It will pack the path or trail just a we little bit each time out and pack . Thus making it easyer to ride on as things start to melt and over all a wider foot print to stay up on top . Basically grooming a path but with no groomer. It's how I break trails in so they last . Enjoy the day Mike ✌

Greetings Micheal, Esme and Simon, nice way to wake up having the ban lifted. I'm curious, why the $135 tarp compared to a $10 or $20 tarp? Esme and Simon seems to lake it out there although, Simon might like it where there is less snow, lol. I myself, I like to camp in the trees but, have a view of a valley or mountains and scan with binoculars. Thanks for taking us on this trip.
@TheEmporiumOutdoors
@TheEmporiumOutdoors 4 жыл бұрын
Good question! The Tarp is more expensive for a couple of reasons - Its made in the USA by a small cottage company, its built to compliment the hammock, It's light weight (sil-nylon) and its a odd shape with the wing doors. A blue $5 tarp on this trip would have don't the trick - but I find them a little noisy is all! 👍

Good question. The Warbonnet Eldorado double layer has work fine for me. Esme (my dog) has short legs but she is around 35lb and it works fine. I've wondered if a bridge hammock would be better however. Something like the Ridgerunner Hammock from Warbonnet, as it keeps the hammock flatter. They are limited to 250lb however. Hope that helps! 👍

@@TheEmporiumOutdoors it does if you have future in depth videos of dog hammocking I can't wait to see them. Shes a great girl and runs off leash no problem on a trail. Hi Jessie - They have a CVT gearbox so its a variable speed HIGH LOW setup. Plus the tracks gear down the drive something like 4 to 1! The ROTAX are very high revving engines - I think they redline @ 8k. Hope that helps!

It’s weird that AB did that , here in SK they haven’t said anything about it. But are stating to open the province up

Yeah tell me about the snow. 😅I live in Yorlton Sk and theres still 1/2 foot of snow on the North side of my Condo. I can't imagine how much is still in the bush here. As to the fire ban as long as they impose a fireban whats the piont of the offroad ban? Nevermind being a self isolating recreation what about all the forestry and oil workers? You going to tell the few that can still work they can't cause they're scared of the low risk vehicles pose? If it gets really dry this summer maybe but until conditions warrant it come on.

Yup - It normally clears up in the bush mid May 😄 - In town its now cleared but we can Geta. dump anytime until next month 😏 - I've been trying to find the stats about UTV/ATV fires over the last 10 years but its hard to research. I think it must be very low compared to lightning strikes or other natural causes.

The bans are stupid and for the ignorant masses. Responsible, citizens should not be punished for doing the right thing and being safe.

I agree! Wildness camping should not be a risk to anyone!
