A solid lesson good job expressing a good tactic anyone can achieve.. - time and pace is what's key here.. slowly but surely. Some people have a spaz foot or a rock foot.. limber up and get it flowing. My bad foot is my left foot due to a ligament surgery on anterior ankle.. on a good day rock solid timing on the hi-hat but on a bad day it does a stutter ...and not a good stutter. The hi-hat is also key in a Bonham sound.

Question: what technique do you apply with the foot. Heel up or heel down? Or do you combine a heel down for the first beat and heel up for the second?
@SCDrummer2 ай бұрын
@@JetBucksley hello. I usually play slower tempos or quieter parts heel down. When I do play more powerful or louder music, I play heel down on first hit and then ball of foot for second. So for a Bonham fast triplet, beat one would be a heel strike down on pedal, with the first ta of the triplet being played with the ball of my foot on the upward motion. It’s weird, but it’s just how I learned it many years ago. Hope this helps.

It's the Appice triplets. Carmine Appice taught Jhon how to do those when h1e was in Vanilla Fudge..
@Smhd38492 жыл бұрын
I think that Carmen Appice was doing something different with double pedals rather than playing a single stroke triplets , bonham thought that’s how he was doing it but Carmen said he wasn’t , if you watch Brian Tichy lesson on drumeo on bonham triplets he explains the mix up .
@InsaneFoolish5 жыл бұрын
What to do Bonham triplet? Easy, just do your exercise again and again! It's so simple, but it is the right way for everything 😂

I've seen 1000s of ppl trying to be him/ 56yrs drumming/ well never be him/ period/were all copycats /sooner we admit it sooner we'll actually get better but trying to play a simple triplet/is a basic rudimentary pattern./but I admire ppl for trying .
