This is still one of my favorite lessons Drumeo has ever posted!!! There’s plenty of guys out there that mimics Bonham sound, set ups and even his signature licks but nobody, and I mean nobody, captures Bonham’s feel the way Brian does!!!

My surname, on the other hand, is the most common surname in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovenia, and the sixth most common in Croatia, so get your facts straight

Brian is the best rock drummer on the scene today. I'm not talking progressive or jazzy, I'm talking rock. He's taken from Bonham, Appice and many other influences and has made it his own. If I were to start a rock band and had my choice of anyone out there today, he'd be my drummer hands down.

The end of that tripled based solo just floored me. Ya' gotta love it when a drummer leaves i on all the kit & basically staggers away. I often question the point of being a knuckle dragging rock drummer. But how do you not love rock-n-roll when it's done at the highest level? Rock on!

I studied with Bran for a bit and man,what a teacher,what a HUMBLE PHENOMENAL DRUMMER. I saw him play live many times and he blew me away,always. His tempo,precion,musical taste are HUGE. Besides Brian s also a really good guitar player and this enriches his music knowledge. He understands music,its part,where to play where not to ove play exc.... He is a 360 degrees musician. Back in the days he formed a band where he played guitar and sang,BALL. WHAT A BAND!!!! Kinda grungy/NY core . The drummer and the bass player were insanely good !!!!! Cheers mate! I'm 50 years old now and there have been some aspects of my triplets that just weren't happening right BUT very methodically I've been going through your exercises and it has led me to see clearly where my problems are coming from. After just a day I had made leaps of progress but more importantly the frustrations of being locked into something that wasn't quite right were gone and I was back to working towards something that felt good. Thanks again fella ..... it's all in the foundation., they gotta be right.

Wow! I'm 61 now and took drum lessons when I was 17. Did a little playing around back in the day...but never go to the level I would have liked. Brian here is a master. I would love to get a kit again and take lessons with him or follow his online lessons if he has any. Gotta get the drums first. :)

Brian is an absolute Monster!! He's got the chops the showmanship and he's a great musician. Plays multiple instruments on a high level. His drums are his Baby but he can hold his own on guitar etc as well.

I am a starter drumming at 48, never too late to start the drums, this has been good teaching, I have heard Brian teach on John Bohnam triplets before, this was good in depth teaching on triplets, that is a nice Ludwig drum kit, thanks heaps. I studied a bit with Brian and another thing he helped with is starting with a buzz roll gradually to loud and high strokes of doubles in a triplets fashion...helped immensely

LOVE this guy. Also my kind of expressive player. I know Dumeo makes every guest do these gratuitous intro solos but this time is seems right, heavy metal voicing but tasteful; with a thread of Roy Haynes...Very clear and thoughtful explanations and demos. It is SO revealing that the secrets are in the simplicity and the exercise of slow with metronome. It is like my hands can go to the gym...I feel like I could learn this. Thank You Brian. ~TEU

I'm surprised NO ONE has mentioned his playing on Zakk Wylde's "Pride And Glory" album! Two songs on there that are MASTER CLASSES in rock drumming: "A Horse Called War", & "Toe n' The Line". The 1st, is a chops-groove fest, & the 2nd, is just a straight up SLAMMIN'! Dude lays it down like NOBODY'S business!

Bill Perri are you kidding me?!!!! Portnoy? 😂 Portnoy failed miserably when I watch his jhb tribute. Terry Keating is a master teacher in all things Bonham as he explains the details in terms anyone can grasp. George Fludas is the grand master, period. I just love how KZbin gives us all these great videos on drumming.

#3 - Thank you for the "hands shuffling" concept. Finally got this thing after many years of failed attempts. It really swings and has many variations. Lead with R then L and break it up to 3 toms and the snare with single notes. (right hand) T1-K-FT (left hand) S-K-T1 That is a tough one for me....fun though. GREAT TEACHING AND MASTERFUL PLAYING!

This guy? Brian is one the greatest drummers on the planet ! Whitesnake, ozzy, foreigner, dead daisys..Brian is an amazing drummer one of the top in the world and a great guy ! Sounds and plays more like Bonham than anyone anywhere period ! IMO he is every bit as good and powerful as he was albeit playing his licks etc ...awesome !

I wish this video had been around 25 years ago to stop me wasting hours on double-pedal licks I'd never be able to use in a real-world context! Brian Tichy has really done his research here and developed some very musical ideas which have their roots way back before the 1960s and the birth of Rock drumming.

I just wanted to say IMHO Brian is THE BEST modern extension of Bonham today. I have never heard anyone play this style better & with more power in a relaxed way that he owns. Not saying he is a copy cat - HIS OWN THING. but damn really sounds like JB. drum tuning / sound here is unreal. Also check Brians speed bag / bass drum training. The bomb !!
