Its not wrong if you play the E -1st string open It'll be only played as an Fmaj7 chord, spelling will be F A C E, built from 1 3 5 7, all major degrees of F major scale.

Thanks Piku for the Video, although it creates more confusion to me as beginner. Based on this, if we remove 1st string and 1st fret note from previous F major, then its still F major. Similarly if we add 3rd fret, 5th string note to 1st F major, then again its still F major?? So if these 2 notes doesn't even matter, why do we even play them?

Um, I'm just learning so the problem that I'm facing is that, If I press the strings for F major then those strings gets muted and as u said if I play from 4th string then those are already muted so how is that? Like i hope u get it, like there's no sound if I already have pressed the strings at the neck and at the same time play these strings. Please help me over this
