Found that the external rotation exercise hugely helped my shoulder pain. HOWEVER, not sure about the heavy resistance. I had a small circular band I kept in the car and frequently did 30 reps at stop lights and at beginning or end of trips. But since I never tried the heavy resistance I can’t compare. Just found the circular band more time efficient. And maybe the high reps I did compensated for the low resistance. But bottom line is this exercise really works.

How about doing this everytime before playing as part of a warmup?
