The differences isn't who has the bigger engine it's the difference between quicker and faster. A larger engine tends to have a higher top end speed so it can theoretically go faster but a smaller engine is lighter and can tend to accelerate quicker so the longer the straight away the more of an advantage the larger engine will have. That being said, there are a lot of other factor that can affect a car's overall performance but most importantly the driver so you can't always tell who will win a race by just the car. Kind of the point of these movies.

"How hard can that rat be biting?" So a rat has a very impressive bite capacity. They can chew through almost anything: wood, drywall, brick, concrete, aluminum, sheetrock, and more. Saw 2F 2F in theatres on opening night. I watched again on the DVD, rented it from blockbuster. The Turbo-Charged Prelude was dope and a good catch-up story with Brian. I did like the other characters, friends and villians. Tej (Luda) and Roman (Ty) were nice additions. Especially Roman with his snarky, anger and funny demeanor. A cooler blend of tones. The 'buddy action' thing was a nice touch. The driving was still on point (as always). The post-credit sequence was fun cause it looked like a video game. Soon after that, Fast and Furious games were coming out. Paul Walker & Tyrese did indeed become the best of friends over time. In the course of 5 films, you could see it and that was a beautiful thing. The late, great John Singleton made all kinds of movies for 20 years. Rarely is he mentioned when talking about The Fast Saga. Because he made a movie that was a good 'first' sequel and it would lead to bigger things.

Basic high level view of the cars: You have big ass US Muscle cars v's High Tech Japanese cars. The US muscle cars have HUGE engines, and are very physical / mechanical. They're hella fast in a straight line, but difficult on corners. They're heavy, so they can hold their own in a tussle. They're not affected by any electronic countermeasures, because they're mechanical. The high tech Japanese cars have smaller engines, and computers monitoring and adjusting every little setting as they drive, so it's optimal for the road conditions. They're also fast, but they're much easier to control, meaning you can get high precision drifting much easier. They're lighter, and are less protected in a tussle. They're also HEAVILY vulnerable to electronic countermeasures. There's a lot of patriotic rivalry in the choice of cars.

Little bit of insight for when you get to Tokyo Drift and beyond, this is the in universe movie timeline order: 1,2,4,5,6,3,7,8,9,10. 3 takes place after 6 and before 7. To answer your question about bigger engine and speed, Engines are measured in liters, that Orange challenger probably had a 7.2L V8 while the purple Mitsubishi eclipse probably had 2.0L turbocharged Inline 4 engine, in this case the Orange car is most definitely faster but sometimes you can actually make a smaller engine faster by adding boost, there are multiple methods and the 2 most common ways are to Turbo charge or use Nitrious. There is some much more im not explaining for simplicity sake but if you would like to learn more its pretty easy to understand. also fun fact the guy who plays Carter Verone the bad guy is also Rip in Yellowstone, he looks complete different with a beard its insane.

Warning: graphic information Fun fact about the rat torture method, it originated back as far as 60 C.E during the rome empire but they used loose pants with rope wrapped around each end of both of the leg holes so they could then pour the rats throught the top of pants and close it while the rats try scratch, bite their way out. (Including legs, groin ect. ) But the bucket and hot coal method version was created during the dutch revolt in the 16th-18th century. They trap a rat underneath a bucket thats on a humans stomach, then they would put heated coal on top of that bucket making the rat panic as the temp keeps rising. The only way it concludes its escape is by biting into the human stomach, as its inside itll keep tunneling till it finds a way out or innevitably die.

1:10 They couldn't call it "The Fast and Furious 2" because Universal acquired the name from Roger Corman who created a movie in the 1950's called "The Fast and Furious", but Corman held onto the rights for any numbered sequels. (Hopefully Angelina reads this)Ok Angelina, so basically before this movie there was the Fast and The Furious: Turbo Charged Prelude, and in that short film it shows how after Brian let Dom go Brian was now a fugitive since he let Dom; a criminal go, and basically during that short film he’s on the run from the cops and ends up in Miami, and he basically races and collects money which how the racers in the first race knew who he was, also while he travels from LA to Miami he gets the Skyline(Silver and Blue Car) and customizes it, and the reason the cops say “Yeah this is him” when Brian gets caught after the first race it’s because they were looking for Brian for a while, so instead of locking him up they give him a chance to get a clean slate for his crimes by taking down Verone

12:45 Bigger engine typically means more power, but more weight. more power doesn't necessarily means faster though... Although it helps a lot, obviously. Basically what makes you accelerate fast, is the power-to-weight ratio(PWR). This is why motorcycles have INSANE acceleration despite having tiny engines that could barely move a car. The faster you go, the more wind resistance. At some point, your need raw power to fight the wind resistance. PWR won't help you overcome that. More weight also means crappier handling and crappier braking though. small vehicle, small power: nimble, cheap (little honda civic) small vehicle, big power: unicorn. Usually means a small to medium sized sportscar with a turbo engine (Most sportscar... Like most of the cars you see in this franchise) big vehicle, big power: high top speed and pulling capabilities, compensates for small appendages, crappy at everything else (american muscle, cars like Dom's Charger rom the end of the first movie, the two cars they won after your question I'm answering now) big vehicle, small power: garbage (cheap americans muscle-less... or little anemic japanese pickups) Long story short: you want a small car. A big block is fun when you have the gas pedal to the floor. The second you let go of the throttle, even just partially, that big block becomes a hinderance. A light car's lightness helps it not only for acceleration but also for cornering as well as braking. Guys with a small D will never want to admit this fact and will stand by their american muscle cars (Sorry Dom, I love you brotha! XD). In all fairness though, in real life, you'd mostly drive your car fast on the highway, so muscle cars do make sense in that regards. Being nimble isn't that important on the highway

5:35 that gun disables electrical equipment so it fries a car and basically leaves it dead in the road. 12:34 muscle cars (the blue and orange one the two other guys had in that race) are notorious for having large engines and high top speeds, they aren't overly good at turning or gripping the road but this is a straight race back and forth...the largest engine is a benefit, a car with a fast acceleration and high top speed will win. Brian and Rome's cars aren't as fast as the muscle's but they can use boost...so this is a very close race. 15:47 they used to use that as a orm of torture in the old days; rats don't like heat or being trapped...so when they are well...they start looking for a way out...even if that minds scratching through flesh.

4:29 The Skyline takes flight 🤩 2F2F will always be my fav out of the series. Man nothing bust my n*t harder than a R34 back in these days and I’d give both of them to own one. I remember leaving the theater and I raced a 90’s Chevy S10 against my fully loaded with people Toyota Corolla and even though both vehicles were slow it was still one of the best junker races you ever seen 😂 oh man what a time to be alive it was.

Not always bout the bigger engine, its what you put in the engine to make it fast
@Twowheeleddevil
@Twowheeleddevil 10 ай бұрын
Long answer short does a bigger engine mean a car goes faster? No, a lot of factors play into not just the engine itself but what “Work” has been done to it and other components of the car. Also depends on what type of engine and what it was originally built to do
@XFactOG
@XFactOG Жыл бұрын
The main thing for power(faster) is horsepower to weight ratio, so 1000hp but 5,000 pound car is not as fast as a 500hp 2,000 pound car

The next one (Tokyo Drift) is my favorite one, even though it’s the most hated😂. It’s the movie that introduced me to JDM cars and got me interested in Japanese culture/car culture, it’s also the first F&F movie I ever saw. My favorite character in the entire series also gets introduced, Han.

Please give the STAR TREK franchise a chance. You don't have to watch everything! Maybe: top ten Classic episodes = Star Trek 1 to 6 = top ten "The Next Generation" episodes = Star Trek 7 to 10 = the three J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies? 🖖
@ProbieKnox

Hell no! If she starts to watch a season, it has to be from episode one. And if she's not enjoying she can stop. But don't do this "top ten" thing. That's no way to watch anything.

@@ProbieKnoxThere are almost 900 Star Trek episodes in total. A top ten from Classic and one from TNG would also be my suggestion. And then of course the films.

@@peterschmidt4348, So what if it's 900 episodes? Nobody needs to binge watch it, just watch at your own pace. If she's enjoying the journey by the end of if 900 will not seem enough. And as I said before, if she doesn't like it, she can just stop watching. Watching something shouldn't be about who watches everything the fastest, it should be about having a good time.

4 ylinders get up to speed faster than the v8 in the yenko, they have better 0-60 speeds v8-s have better top end speed in a long straight line. but with some of the dragsters i used to watch a 4 cylinder eclipse that pulled a 6.96sec 1/4 mile. literally a rocketship.
