SFTROU is an excellent album, but very emotionally draining. I can't imagine how John felt writing those songs, and peforming them.

I absolutely Love Goo Goo Dolls!!!!I have been through alot of medical issues for many years now.Starting to get better.I finally got to their concert here in Kingsport Tennessee. But their music has been so good for me and has made me want to get out and enjoy life again.I love how their music says alot about life.Couldn't and wouldn't ask for a better band!!!Just hope that they can come again...Tracy When two surgeons messed up my insides,it took a long time to recover.Amazing how words through music can build your strentgh back.So thank you so much!!!

Love you, John. 🥰 Love your songs, love your lyrics. They mean so much to me 💕💕💕. Of course I love the hits but I also listen to every album, the WHOLE album in order, so I love it when you play songs that weren’t necessarily “singles”. ❣️

Really enjoyed the interview. I’m only familiar with the first 5 GGD records, have to give their later albums a spin. John seems like such a nice and humble person and doesn’t give off the “rock star” attitude like some other well known musicians.

One of the nicest down to earth guys in the music business. Thanks for listening

Yea, he doesn't see himself as a posturing "rock star" but makes self effacing jokes on when those moments arise while on stage Hilarious and endearing. Love him then, now and always

What a great interview. Just saw the Goo Goo Dolls at Summerfest in Milwaukee. My first time seeing them. I agree John is a phenomenal song writer. I love his lyrics very much, I heard the song Iris a few years back after the loss of my husband and was so moved. I did some investigating on who they were. I can sing just about every song from any album. Love these guys. While they were hitting the music scene I was raising children and didn’t really know who they were. I do now and am looking forward to seeing them again next year and I can’t wait for the new album. He also seems like such a down to earth man.

GREAT interview, guys! You asked the kind of questions I would have asked him if I had ever had the chance. I saw the GGD twice and met him, and he was very gracious....but we couldn't sit down for a conversation like this. And you brought up Debbie and John Boulos, and that reminded me of some of the other promotion people like Valerie Moses, Linda Couch, Karen McClellan-Black and Anne Marie Foley, who worked the GGD as well.

I can actually imagine John as a history teacher by day, part time bartender on the weekends, married with half a dozen kids. I think he would have been happy too. Maybe happier. Sure would miss his music tho. The road not taken right?

I’m a lifetime fan of John’s - you can see my profile pic ♥️ He is one of the most sincere singer/songwriters I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet! I have his autograph on a few of my cherished items - one is the Goo Goo Doll’s “Magnetic” cd from the Virgin Atlantic NYC Record store in Times Square. “Rebel Beat” is on it! I named my sweet smooth fox terrier puppy Rebel because of this song 🎶 I would never dream of selling any of my treasured items. They’re going with me anywhere I go. I gave him a harmonica with hopes that he would quit smoking. My idea was it would help him to breathe more deeply & possibly replace cigarettes. This photo was taken at a VH1 Save the Music event in NYC. John was the MC aka Master of Ceremonies for the fun fashion show! I was in attendance as he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June 2008 at the Marriott Marquis in NYC. I was sooooo happy & excited for him 🥰 I blurted out “We Love You” which caught him off guard I think but he replied “I love you more ok” ✅ Such a wonderful achievement for him!!!

It’s the second time I’m watching Jhons interview where he looks traumatized everytime he have to talk about South Africa. Im African and I would like to know what he saw to always have this reaction about africa wich is funny to me 🤣 maybe he went to a village if he did I will understand cause it can get creep out there but I’m still curious to hear more in details about what he saw there to always act like that everytime he have to talk about it 🤣😂🤍 love you john a lot he is always straight to point in a cool way thanks again for this interview I love hearing him talking about his roller coaster life I went to his concert he looked mad at the staff in bantford (I can understand him they wasn’t professional with the sounds) but tried to hide it for his fans and my only regrets is the fact that I was very scared to ask him if he could sign my guitar but it’s okay I saw him in real and was sun front and I’m happy I did at least that
