Enjoyed the vlog ! However one point I'd make (as a photographer) is never to keep battery operated electronics or power banks anywhere where they are going to get cold (up there in the tent peak) because in cold weather they are going to lose charge for sure. I keep my batteries / power banks in a ziplock at the bottom of my sleeping bag / quilt. Safe trails !

First of all amazing video you are really taking big strides in improving the production value 👍 one thing I noticed is the audio volume was inconsistent whenever you used the clip on mic. Also some cuts where you cut right as you where inhaling or saying the next word but that's me nitpicking since you are open for feedback. Also would have liked to see the hot tent setups in detail but that might just be me cause I'm always playing with the idea of buying one.
@outdoorthorbackpacking3 жыл бұрын
No I really appreciate the feedback! I’m looking at a different mic set up so that the audio will be more consistent because it lapel mic has been super hard to work with. The cord really restricts me to only a few feet. The only reason I didn’t feel more of a hot tent is because they were my personal tent and I didn’t want to film someone else’s tent and make it seem like it was mine. But I have been toying with buying one as well, they are so cool! The two guys that I was with both have a luxe hiking gear with the titanium stove. They really are so cool!

Love the Uintas! Glad to see someone out camping in what would traditionally be considered a 3 season tent. Planning on filming a trip in Rocky Mountain National Park next week, and will be trying out a Tarptent Protrail Li. Hoping it keeps me somewhat warm! Great video

Hello and good video. Great camp. I'm Also interested in the X Mid tents but can't make my mind up which one to go for the 1p or 2p 🤔. It will be more for trekking, I should get a dog in either vestibule. Really enjoyed watching and subbed you. Thanks. Steve From England 🇬🇧👍

The camera quality was great. Loved some of the weird camera views you did. Definately was a pretty area. Ya it snowed but was probably just below 0. I did notice condensation on your sleeping bag tho. Did you find a problem with too much? I really liked you saying that the view was second only to your wife. You should try the mountains. If you liked those hills the mountains would blow you away.
@outdoorthorbackpacking3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the weight from the snow push the walls in on my tent and so I got some pretty good condensation. I was actually shocked that I woke up and was so warm because there was a lot of condensation on the inside. It’s true, there is no better view than waking up next to my wife!

Are you concerned about storing food & trash in your tent? Perhaps attracting big or small animals that might nibble to get inside?
@outdoorthorbackpacking3 жыл бұрын
So typically during the day I will keep my food and trash in the tent so they keep it in one place and at night I will do a hang in place it away from camp. But I think you’re right I never really think of small rodents, my brain always panics and goes to bears haha. Next time I’ll take your advice and just keep it all outside the tent.
@ronmul19603 жыл бұрын
@@outdoorthorbackpacking I have had chipmunks gnaw thru my backpack in Uintas. It was repairable. Just worried could they gnaw into a tent. I use a rodent bag (metal mesh) that keeps critters out but I still hang it at night.
