Absolutely! If you can't enjoy catching a load of fish, then there's something wrong! Except strap congers. They can jog on. 🤣

Great session there buddy, I'm constantly looking at that stretch from across the water, and always wanted to give it a go. Went out this morning doing very much the same, fished for 3ish hours, had a stack of bream, biggest was 2lb 7oz, was really chuffed, until 2hrs in, I realised I wasn't recording 🤣🤣. Thanks again for the tips mate. Alll the best
@grahamwilkes84632 ай бұрын
Nice to meet you Tom, that was a great 2 hour session for you on the bream . I only had some tiny bass when spinning for the mullet, not sure if mullet are thick or thin lipped. Will be down again in a couple of weeks.

I love this lighter side of fishing. Just don't get much chance in the Bristol Channel. What is that blue rod? Is it a Veret?
@FishyTom3 ай бұрын
It is mate. That's my beloved Veret Syria 435. Just a stunning rod. Not neccesarily what I'd call lighter though, in fact I've used it in the Bristol Channel, but it is probably far lighter than most people would use there! I've always like to fish as light as I can get away with (probably something to do with my girly arms!🤣 ).
@thetaffydangler7173 ай бұрын
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 cheers pal. It looks like a lovely piece of kit, a bit different from my usual channel rods; Kompressor S or 6+bait. Really enjoy the videos you put out, keep up the good work! Tight lines!

Hi whats the blue rod you are using? it looks like a very sensitive tip
@FishyTomАй бұрын
Hello. Sorry for crazy late reply! Catching up on a few comments I've managed to miss! The blue rod is a Veret Syria 435. You are correct, it has a lovely senstitive hybrid tip.

Tom using coloured line do you think it scares fish in really clear water great vids
@FishyTom3 ай бұрын
I used to be paranoid about this, but I have used coloured lines for quite a few years now and can honestly say it makes no difference. I do always use clear leaders though, so my mainline is 15m away from the rig.
