2 Hungry Brits Eat Seoul Food In South Korea! 🇰🇷

In this video, we ATE our way round Seoul trying all the foods we’d heard of before and wanted to try and even braved some that we hadn’t! We started off at Myeong-dong night market which was bustling, busy and bright and served all the street food you could imagine at not such an expensive price either. It’s a great and affordable way of trying all the Korean street food classics such as pork belly and kimchi rolls, egg bread and cheese balls.
Of course any Korean food video HAS to include chimaek (fried chicken and beer) so we put this combination to the test too alongside some lunchtime Gimbap, Seongsu-dong’s famous salt bread AND a very old Korean classic - Makgeolli!

The rice wine - you need to turn upside down to get good mix of goodness on the bottom of the bottle, top is mostly water.

As a Korean, I've never seen this snack before, and I saw it in your video, and I wanted to eat it, so I looked it up. I'm going to buy it soon. But you know that ? I didn't expect I'd learn about Korean snacks from an Englishman lol. THX bro. I hope you guys enjoying during trip in korea

오뎅 국물이 안보이네요. 대부분 김밥집에는 셀프서비스 오뎅국물이 있어요. 8:34에 나오는 스테레인스 통에서 오뎅 국물 뽑을수 있어요. 테이블 위에 빈접시는 앞접시가 아니라 오뎅 국물 그릇이 예요. 손으로 들고 마시기 좋게 옆에 조그맞게 솟아 있는 부분이 있는 거죠.

I think the k-sauce was ssamjang which is used often for Korean pork bbq. It’s a mixture is fermented miso paste and gochujang. You will see this at every k bbq place

쌈장의 원래 용도는 상추, 깻잎 등의 생야채를 먹기 위한 소스죠. 상추에 쌈장 넣고 고기도 넣어서 같이 쌈을 싸서 먹는거죠. 그런데 요새는 쌈장에 바로 돼지고기를 찍어먹는 사람도 많더라구요. 하지만 소고기는 거의 소금, 간장, 기름에만 찍어서 먹어요.

It’s cheaper than uk and USA but more expensive than south east Asia.

Food in East Asian restaurants, including Korea, is much cheaper than in the West. Japanese restaurant food is a little cheaper than Korean restaurant food. But prices at grocery stores are not cheap. Fruits in Korea are the most expensive in the world.
