Make sure you remove the black bar that was holding up your pipes

How is that done?? I loosened it up and it doesn’t seem like there’s a enough space to come out

Hey my friend that exhaust bracket hanging down in the back on the right side running parallel with the swing arm you do know there's only two bolts holding that in and you can remove it Besides it looks really really cool with it off
@EsotericRider2 жыл бұрын
I took it off right after I ended recording, I somehow completely forgot about it while removing the original exhaust lol

Mine doesn’t seem to want to come out. Did you have any problems getting it out? It’s a fight fit
@jamiemayer2 жыл бұрын
@@felixmontoya8387 if you're referring to the exhaust I had no difficulties whatsoever there is a bracket that is on the right side just below the swing arm you need to disconnect that from the mufflers then you disconnect the head bolts from what I remember I did mine seven or eight years ago that was the first thing I changed I didn't have any issues you can always run the bike about 5 minutes before you do it to get those head bolts loose but I suggest disconnecting the bracket first from the mufflers before doing so

Not my jam I like the Cobras. I thinking about getting the Cobra Swept pipes on my 2015 Stateline. I think they will sound great and go with the lines of the bike. To each their own.😎

No, but it is reccomended for the best performance. I ran those pipes with a cobra fi200r, and they ran good but I would have went with a hi flo air I take to top it off.

Are you still liking the pipes. Do they burn your leg?
@EsotericRider2 жыл бұрын
I liked the pipes but I swapped them back out due to the massive backfire with stock air cleaner. Sounded great at idle but de accelerating pop was big. And no they didn't burn my leg, but it was extremely easy to do so, just have to be very cautious about it.

Too loud and you are losing torque and power with a short pipe like that, even if you dyno tune it, you will still lose torque, which is kinda what that motor is about.

12hp gain. Dyno proven
@Daves_Man_Cave Жыл бұрын
@@stevetyre9486 Cool, let's see the chart. It may pick up peak HP but they usually lose power lower down the rev range.
@Daves_Man_Cave Жыл бұрын
@@stevetyre9486 Additionally, there is no way it picks up 12hp without fueling changes. If the exhaust changes the flow enough to pick up a massive 12hp at the wheel, then it changed the flow enough that it needs to be tuned. There is no free lunch with this stuff. The stock bike would have to be running a filthy rich AFR from the factory, for the new pipe to essentially lean it out to a proper 12.8-13.2 range to make optimal power, which of course it would never do... I can see a bike making more power with a free flowing exhaust and a tune if it was really restricted from the factory... but these bikes come lean from the factory, and a change that could make 12hp more, would 100% require fueling changes, else you are running so lean that you risk damaging the motor...
@stevetyre9486 Жыл бұрын
@Dave's Man Cave a customer dynod my pipes with a tune and filter 10 or so years ago. It was compare to stock pipes and cobra pipes. 12hp over stock 2hp over cobra. These pipes on this bike aren't STG pipes. My pipes are torque stepped to help low end
@Daves_Man_Cave Жыл бұрын
@@stevetyre9486 Right, but with a tune. The guy that posted the video said no tuning changes were made. A pipe that changes the flow so drastically that it adds 12rwhp, will absolutely need a tune in order to get those gains and run safely... 12hp on that motor is a massive percentage of increase. Running it with the stock tune risks damaging the motor...

hint....ALWAYS do a BEFORE and AFTER test....hell...pipes you took off may have sounded just as good as pipes you put on...never know... wow...is this not simply common sense...not trying to be rude here...but this video tells us how the replacement pipes sound...not how much better/worse compared to the old pipes...or else...why replace them in the first place???
@EsotericRider3 жыл бұрын
i get what you're sayin', and i agree. i would have done that, but being i have already done a separate video with the cobra pipes, install and sound test, i figured it wouldn't be necessary, plus almost all of my other videos have the sounds of the cobra pipes. i leave it for my viewers to decide whether they think they sound good or not, and i just simply give my personal opinion afterwards. if they have something to be said about them, i usually do a separate video like a follow up to them, just so i have more content for my channel, and a video in itself to focus on just that, not 4 things at once, being everyone's thoughts on them will vary.
