Few mins with a cut off wheel, cut the bracket in front of the weld and it will come right off.

I've put alot of miles on a 3/4 ton avalanche 2500 8.1 big block 8 lug ect .... I'd say even tho it's only a 2004 it dosent have alot of the crazy interior electrical systems just basic creature features it's still the best truck I've ever driven ... tons of power tons of room in the cargo area and its solid body makes it stiffer than a normal pick up truck just a pleasure to drive ... also I like the body cladding it helps protect the look of agression that the non cladding trucks lack ....
