This sermon, 8 years ago, you’re right judgement is coming and it’s even closer now, undeniably. In my heart I know it. I think all believers know it.

Judgment is coming. There is no doubt about that. King Josiah. So much to admire about this man who turned his heart toward God at a very early age. ❤

I woke up and thought I’d go to One of Pastor Paul’s teaching and this came up. I’m so blessed to listen to line upon line and to have the word simplified to be able to get a good grasp on what God has to say. Thank you Pastor Paul. I might add I belong to a wonderful church of believers in New Zealand 🇳🇿 God is good hallelujah!

33:16 This reminds me of a lady who attended the church I went to between the ages of 8-12~. I won't mention any names but she would go to church faithfully until something or someone hurt her feelings and then she would miss services until someone noticed and called her to see why she wasn't showing up. And THEN she would come back until the cycle repeated again and again and again...

7:40 - The people in the stories of the Bible are instruments of the Holy Spirit. Everything is inspired by the spirit and not man. The bible is supernatural.

There in verse 26 it tells us the reason. It was because of the sins of Manasseh. What we do, Will have an affect on others. So in this case, just because Josiah comes along and is a wonderful king, Yehovah was still angry because Judah had been so evil for so long, and the good this one king had done was not enough to assuage His anger. Look at Israel having to wander in the desert. The children of those who caused Yehovah's anger to come against them, and send them into the desert did nothing wrong, yet they had to suffer the difficulty.

Puzzling that God spares Josiah from seeing the judgement He will execute on Judah by allowing him to be killed by the Egyptian Pharaoh...but I suppose it was quick and better than dying of a prolonged illness at the same time Babylon invaded Judah.
@linak715510 ай бұрын
I have often wondered about the same. Death could be a way that God spares His servants from greater suffering. He is good all the time!
