King Ahaz gave up his birthright when he took the worship of the pagan gods in Damascus where he met the King of Assyria. This is a very good example of how we could go astray when caught up with the worldly things and people; putting our God aside. We can be spiritually developed but still not have a direct relationship with God. Pray that God holds us tight in his bosoms and the Holy Spirit directs us in the right path. Amen

New viewer here. This is where I'm currently reading and this video helped put things into a better perspective. God bless the preacher, his family, and the church (which does not have membership as he states in this video, but I'm now subscribed to your channel.) for being vessels of God's Word.

Actually, Calvary Chapel Ontario does have membership, it's just not a formal membership. Our members are those who attend, participate and support.

Church membership for me is being able to vote on things the church is doing, with worship, with volunteers, with our tithes…it’s a great way to really be active in the community. And to make sure the church stays conservative and in the scriptures. Membership is not required to go to that church and they don’t push membership but because the congregation is so active and involved, i believe it helps bring people to Christ

I really liked what you said. As believers, we, too, have a birthright. You mentioned the promises. There are also responsibilities. Esaw wanted the blessing but not the responsibilities.

I know tons of people who claim to be "spiritual but not religious "... what it means every time (in my experience) is that they feel they are more "enlightened" than Christians who are weak & need to follow a "narrow set of religious rules- that they need a crutch & are closed minded sheep that are governed by fear of punishment by an angry, vengeful Christian God" This is new age thinking/ Christ consciousness- that Christ came to earth to show us that we are divine & Christ-like- we need to open our minds to see that divinity rests inside of us- at our core- waiting for us to become enlightened enough to understand this. They believe that currently the earth & it's people are stuck in the 3rd dimension which is heavy & primitive- Christians are keeping us there. They believe in ascended masters (their jesus is one as well as buddha & many others) & spirit guides who work & guide us from behind the veil. Their god is a god of love only & we all ascend eventually to become ascended masters As more & more people become enlightened they will collectively lift the earth & people into higher dimensions. I have a theory that if there was a rapture- they would believe that they & the rest of the world have reached a higher dimension & the Christians have been left behind in a lower dimension due to their energy being dense & lead by fear. I know all this because I was very new age & used to believe all that. The sad thing is that many fall into that deception due to wounding from false churches & the harshness of some professing Christians. I know people who practice “white magick” with images of Jesus, Buddha, Krishna on their alters- they “call on the energy” of all these gods to do their bidding. They will also use “dragon, fairy & angel magick” Their christ is not our Christ. Magick is spelt like that to show that it’s not the magic of kiddie shows. Not everyone goes this deep but they ALL believe that they are “working for the light”… very sad because we Christians know that all this comes from the deepest, darkest pit of hell

Hello Pastor Paul what great teaching. I’m a little confused though at the end you mentioned that it doesn’t matter what church you go to as long as you know your a child of God. Im confused on when you mentioned that Jesus kingdom is not part of this world but my church preaches on that the Kingdom is here if we posses it through God. If Jesus kingdom is not from the earth why does he mention that thy Kingdom come thy will be done on Earth. So is this not true?!

I appreciate the teaching. I must say I was concerned about your take on the Roman Catholic Church. Respectfully, I got the feeling that you were really careful not to offend the organization although you know much of its practices are not of the most high.

Yeah his take on the matter is something I’ve never heard, I listen to RC sproul and MacArthur and have never heard them mention what this pastor mentioned.. would’ve expected him to mention how Catholics started to have traditions equal to scripture and they are a works salvation gospel contrary to scripture. Respectfully I’d say your feeling is right

2 Kings 16:6,9 Pastor you said, 'the king of Assyria killed the King of Syria' Why do different versions render the name in verse six as Syria, Aram, and Edom? Confusing! 😕

So if Israel was rejected by the Lord and the covenant was broken by the Israelites (many times) then why are all these Christians supporting Israel today? As far as the Gospel is concerned, aren't they enemies of ours? Until God's wrath is poured out over them and God gives them a new heart and gives them His Spirit... Should we be allying with the Israelites who have forsaken God? What atrocities have they commited against the world that causes God to pour His wrath out over them in Eze 36 and Jer 30?

You used the word "amalgamation' to refer to things that pertain to the mixing in worship. The kings of israel had become blinded to Yehovah's requirements. The same has happened through the centuries. Believers have adopted customs n practices that are far removed from the faith once delivered. Syncrotism.
