It doesn’t even matter. Getting government assistance is perfectly fine. I hate how people talk like that. As if it’s a bad thing for mothers or families to get assistance for their babies. If it didn’t go to a mother or father and their babies it would go to someone else.

Im proud of you mama ❤ im on assistance with two special needs kids and fighting for my life to give my kids more. But we gonna get there when its our time 😊 the ones who judge better pray they never fall flat on their face. I use to work but my child came first and she still is. God made a way my whole 25 yrs and he will make a way for however many he gives me left.

Same here. I had many years of assistance. I can’t stand how others try to shame people with it. I know how it is to need help & I had no problem accepting the help before but for people to step in & tell me that they pay for my lifestyle & their tax dollars are paying for me to live when I work HARD every day Monday - Friday. I don’t think it’s that people think that single moms can’t be successful, it just makes it significantly harder for you and for the children to have success because it’s not a nuclear family or even a blended family when there is absence of a father in the house it makes the life harder. I don’t care what anybody says I mean your circumstances are your circumstances no matter what we comment or don’t comment. But we cannot ignore statistics And of course, there are multiple different circumstances where a mother can become a single mom. Though we are aware of the most common ones.

It can make it harder if you fold due to your circumstances. If you have that determination in you, you can do anything you set your mind to kids or not. I know some folks that were raised in a 2 parent household & still ended up not being such great people. I ignore the statistics because I won’t be a part of the statistics. My children and I will be successful in every aspect of our lives because that’s what I work hard to maintain for us & that’s what i instill in them. It’s all about how the children are raised. If you take your time to raise your kids right, show them ALL unconditional love, guide them in the right ways & allow them to express themselves to you so you can understand their needs properly & individually, then you will raise good kids. It’s about the upbringing of the kids. Not the circumstances placed upon them. You never know a woman’s situation and her reason for being a single mother. I don’t feel that it’s fair to group women together & judge them based upon “statistics”.

Its not that single mom's can't be successful. But statistically speaking it's very and almost impossible. Studies show children raised in a 2 parent house hold grow up well rounded. Children who grow up without their fathers in the home are 9 times more likely to be incarcerated and 7 times more likely to drop out of school. And having multiple baby daddies shows the lack of moral character and decision making on the womans end. Its a harsh sad reality.
