You maybe don't know but raspberry moonshine (raki) is very rare and expensive. The people who produces that mostly keeps it for themselves or guests not for selling.

Gyros are, in essence, the Greek equivalent of the Turkish doner or Arabic shawarma.. all three words mean "to turn". Wherever you find a Greek restaurant in the US, you'll find gyros. I think I commented about this in an earlier video (probably one from Pakistan) but the gyro meat in the US (and doner kebab meat in most of Europe) is made in factories - they grind the meat, mix in the spices, and then compress it into cone, which gets frozen and shipped to restaurants all over the country. In the US most of it comes from Chicago. And it all started with one man who invented the process.. interestingly enough he was Jewish, and his name was John Garlic. He lived in Milwaukee. I'm not making this up.. there's a New York Times article you can search for, from 15 or so years ago. I will have to admit - the only time I've seen someone put fries inside a doner or gyros was, in if all places, Bangkok - and come to think of it, the price was about USD2 as well.. 😁 And souvlaki would be grilled meat on a skewer, the Greek equivalent of a Turkish shish-kebab or Russian shashlik.

@@JetLagWarriors Aside from eating it here and there, there's a huge amount of information on Wikipedia, not to mention food vlogs on KZbin! 😁 The John Garlic article was something on the New York Times website I came across years ago. Interestingly, doner kebab has become a "traditional" German food.. When Ken visited Pattaya some months back, I poked around on Street View and came across one or two signs that claimed to be selling "authentic doner kebab from Berlin".. 😁

Traditionally a fluffy round Greek-style white pita bread stuffed with meat carved from a vertical rotisserie, onion, tomato, cucumber and tzatziki sauce (Greek yogurt, olive oil, dill, lemon juice, garlic, fresh mint). Lots of different versions in different countries though...all delicious!

Even if the Greeks try to make some things Greek, the food in the Balkans is simply Balkan Mediterranean, especially Albanian! Why? Because the majority of Greeks are simply of Albanian descent and have adopted the culinary arts accordingly. Gyrros means scraped from the Albanian! Pita or pite is simply something flat, a flat something, the paper is also Pete or Petak! But we Albanians are generous and not boastful at all.

the Albanian currency, is it higher from Malaysian Ringgit?

Things in Albania cost roughly the same. Although it's hard to say which currency is higher because the Lek is more like a cent. 100 Lek = 1 USD.

Turkey and Malaysia make billions in halaal tourism, no halaal restaurants, no restaurants of other nationality, doubt Albania can be a tourism hotspot.

Albania is not as well known as Turkey for Muslim traveller. That is why Chanel like jetleg warrior is essential to introduce us, Muslim to more country we can visit. As more and more Muslim tourist come to Albania, more more facilities and ammenities catering for Muslim will be opened. Take Japan and Korea as an example. Japan has now provided halal eatery and prayer places for muslim travellers(they invite officer from Jakim to teach and suppervise, if i am not mistaken).Give Albania time, i am sure after corona more people will come and. Visit.

Albania is a mix of super poor & super rich people, Ppl linked with government steal all the taxes and never get problem from justice, cuz judges are busy enjoying their luxery life with corruption money they get...Also most of bussnes in Albania are open for washing money, thats why u can find so many cheap deals, cuz owners dont care to make money by running bussnes, but washing the money they make from corruption..So Albania is Paradise for forigner, cuz can have luxery lifestyle with 10 time less costs than western country...Also Albanians by their self wanna keep that county poor, to give a better value of money they make aboard, Also poor albanian ppl who live there and work for 200-300 euro a month, are happy anyway, important for them is to afford some coffees and beers in luxery place,so they will not recognise how poor they are..

@@silverstoneaction8842 It’s good that you show us here how politically affected you are from the party that America has declared non grata. You make money from every comment they pay you with byrek. All you said here is not proven and it’s just false accusations of the opposition. The only reason Albania is cheap it’s because we use our currency which is weaker than Euro,Pound,Dollar etc.And the 2nd reason is because the governments wanted to keep it that way because our neighbors are Italy,Greece,Montenegro and a little further Croatia that are one of the most Turistic places in the world and our only chance to compete them now is by having cheap prices.Go take a class finish a real university and earn money with your job not by commenting on KZbin.

@@davidgian nonsense ....you can get in germany and britan cheap food as well. Dont be jelouse....albania is very affordable , nice and the prices are correct you monk !! In the balkans the average income is 500 euros...so if you go in a bankrott country like greece or croatia as a tourist and you pay 40 euros for food you know you got riped off... Albania has good, has fair prices and you dont need to pay for everhthing like in other countries. Its definetly becomeing every year more popular and people like you should stay in your boring asia country and enjoy your covid 19 food.bye from europe!
