Hi Chris, KL is mostly tourism and foreign worker, the food there is so so I would say as a Malaysian, you should try the best Nasi Lemak in Damansara uptown which certified deliciousness from Malaysia prime minister. Petaling jaya SS2 for food at night and Subang Jaya Ss15 for food at night as well.. Those place is not far from KL if you take Grab car. You won't have difficulty to communicate in those area I mentioned above cause thru Malaysian are English educated since primary school.. Kuala Lumpur is not bad but as a Malaysian, we seldom go KL. If you have the time for a travel to Penang or Ipoh. They made authentic Malaysia food. You won't regret.

You won't go wrong for street food in Penang, in Kuala Lumpur, if you see those flavour drink are ready made in the street, you must not buy them because they're all just sugar even Milo.. The drink level is low they just top up with sugar water.. Like 5:40

This place is actually known as Masjid India as the word Masjid means Mosque which you saw earlier in the video. It was built by the Indian Muslims and caters for them. Little India is situated in Brickfields, KL.

Hey bro, Masjid (mosque) India. It is a mosque used to be for Indian Muslim in KL. Now it is a landmark with many muslims shop for Tourist. In fact the whole Chow Kit / Raja Laut / Kampung Baru area are mostly malays community. If you want to visit Little India you should go Brickfield area. And for the red drinks are actually Rose Syrup drinks. Most of the vendor selling drinks, are quite sweet but some that haven't mixed with sugar syrup as the lime drink you bought (you can see the cup is already with sugar before the fill the drinks into it), you can request less sugar. cheers mate.

Hi Chris, in Malaysia most of the drinks are sweet. You may ask/request the vendor/seller to make them less sweet. Just for your info, Masjid means Mosque, and Masjid India means Indian Muslim Mosque. The weather in Malaysia is not conducive to walk around in the day time. But walking around in the main business area with food stall is were you can find and interact with locals or foreigners who has settled down in Malaysia. Anyway, i enjoy your channel and have a pleasant visit going around visiting places in Malaysia

Hey Chris! I am sure you were in Masjid Jamek on Friday. Thats why you can see that there are people listening to sermon and praying at the most. Since friday is Muslim‘s holy day, people close theier shop for few hours so that they can perfom their prayers at the most. Typically between 12-2pm.

We usually don’t buy drinks from the containers so much so from masjid India/chow kit areas. However fruit juices and coconut drink are ok as the juices are direct from the fruit. The drink that you had in Chinatown and the soya bean juice diagonally opposite the drink you had there are ok as they need to be boiled first first.

Masjid India area is mainly hotspot for Muslims in KL. Like shown in your video many local Malay(Melayu) here and also other Muslims like Indian Muslims, Pakistani, Bangladeshi etc. This area will be super busy n crowded during Ramadhan. Vey good that you explore other parts of KL instead of touristy spot like jalan Alor n Petaling Street

Was that Friday when you do this vlog? I think it was Friday sermon that we could hear from the mosque. If it is Friday, you will find most of Muslims's store or stall are closed during the prayer time. Usually it's from 1-3pm..after that, business will resume. Good job anyway! Stay healthy dude

I believe little india is in Brickfields, Masjid India is like a muslim version of little india. Many shops are closed because it's Friday prayer time. That explains the plenty of motorbikes around. The shops probably closed only for a while though. Gunting is scissors. Good choice. Haha

Hi Chris. I wish I was there with you when you're recording the video. Anyway, the shops were mostly closed coz' you're there on Friday afternoon (during Muslim Noon Friday prayers). Shops (mostly muslim shop owners) were temporarily closed and mostly later open later in the afternoon. You're actually in a place call Masjid India (not really trully "Little India") more of a mixed between local Indian Muslim and local Indian Hindus and some local malay street vendors. The placed also has a sizeable community of Bangladeshis, Nepalis and Indonesians too. Whilst, in KL "Little India" is officially in "Jalan Brickfields" (Brickfields Road) about a kilometer or more away from Masjid India area (near KL Sentral). Anyhow, you're in good hands and do enjoy your stay and go ahead for an adventure of a life time!! btw, Ayam "Gunting" is actually crispy "scissor" chicken in english (my 2 sen). Cheers.
