Thanks for your review of the Cambridge Pitt Minion Bible. In June of 1963 I purchased a Cambridge KJV Pitt Minion Bible in Waukegan, IL. At the time I was training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center for my Navy rating. From Great Lakes this bible travelled with me to the west coast then throughout most of the Pacific theater. My new home port was Apra Harbor Guam. Within a few months I had travelled the Marianas Islands, north to Bonin Island including Iwo Jima and Chi Chi Jima, on to Yokosuka Japan, then south of the eastern and western Caroline Islands (Palau Is in the West, Truk Atoll in the east and a host of other islands in the Caroline Is chain. Another atoll in the chain is Woleai. After our return to Guam we received orders to patrol about halfway between Midway Is. and Adak AK followed by a return to Guam. On one of our southern patrols we crossed the Equator and cruised to Rabaul, New Britain followed by a stop in Hong Kong via Subic Bay, Philippines. Later on we embarked on to Sydney, Australia followed by a stop in Pago Pago, Samoa then a stop at Pearl Harbor for refurbishing. While in Pearl Harbor we received orders to deploy to Vietnam via Subic Bay, Vietnam patrols took us from the DMZ in the north, down the coast to Vung Tau south of Saigon and on west then north to Phu Quoc Island just south of Cambodia. There were actually 5 patrol zones between the DMZ and Phu Quoc.

The Cambridge Pitt Minion is nearly the perfect Bible. Yes, the font is small but easy to read in good light. It contains numerous references, a good concordance, and 15 beautiful Cambridge maps. Because of its small size, it is easy to carry to church or anywhere else. I carry two - one is a NKJV in black goatskin for Sabbath School class, and the other is a NIV in brown goatskin (since my pastor preaches from the NIV and I can "be on the same page"). No question about it - the Pitt Minion is an incredible Bible. Highly recommended!

Just a question, what is the size of the cover on the KJV? I know online usually they measure the page.

Correct. The cover is actually about 5” wide by 7.5” tall.

Needs to be edged lined I own one l love it but I’m wearing it out due to being pasted down I’ll take the break in time off edge lined and perimeter stitched and pay the premium for it

Fair enough. The paste down option gives it the flexibility to lay flat no matter where you are reading from. Usually in that size that is the preference. You can get some personal sizes that are edged lined such as the Schuyler Canterbury. But you are fighting with pages when reading in Genesis in those cases I find. It’s all personal preference.
