Thanks for the tips. Can't make 10th but can roll to same pretty well now w/ a lot of practice. Have devel. some tendon discomfort since over-practicing a chromatic scale in maj. thirds. You have nice improv. chops.

Question. When practicing with my left hand I have trouble with getting my ring and middle fingers between the black keys when using voicings that extend past the octave range. What do you suggest or recommend? Mind you, my fingers are, I guess what you'd call normal sized. BTW this is a recent issue as in I didn't have this challenge 20 years ago but just since getting back on the piano after years of being off. Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter. Does this song have a name or is it a sequence you developed for improvisation? If the song has a name and composer, could you let me know? Thank you so much. The idea of the 2 minute tutorials is fantastic. Congratulations and thank you for sharing with the poor mortals who try to play piano as beautifully as you do. João from Brazil.

Hey Pete love your work, is there an exercise that you may have to combined scales and broken chords/arpeggios? I want my line to sound more diverse.

Hi Peter, and thanks for your very cool videos. Love your simple yet satisfying left hand comps. Had a question though. At around 2:24 you play some chord fragments. Then do some amazing stuff with contrary (2:27), then parallel (2:30) motion with both hands to end the phrase. Would love if you could talk more about that stuff :-)

Hi Martin, this is Kai from Hong Kong. I have some trouble when practicing and i want to ask for your advice. How can you elaborate such great idea while you are improvising. Is that your original stuff that pop up in your mind when you are jamming? Or some licks from others or...i dont know. I tried to transcript bunch of licks from those jazz and blues and even funk master. But it doesnt seems work cuz it had different tempo, rhythm, phrasing, and even the key and the fingering from what i had transcript while i am jamming with others. So i tried to play whatever i want. But there are nothing more than scale and arppegio straight forward up and down. It makes me seem so....lame. So can you give me some advice how should i practice for enrich my vocabularies and phrasing? Best regard and sorry for my bad english Kai.

This is great for when the chords change on each beat. What are you doing when the chord lasts the entire measure? I see you are not hitting the exact same chord 4 times!!
