This gesture by the Fever will boast the popularity and exposure of CC's teammates and get them a piece of the economis pie. Caitlin did a great thing when she donated the 350 backpacks (Nike) filled with school supplies to a D.M. North school. A LOT of the kids who go to that school don't have a lot of money to pay for things like that, and she has stood by her words that she wants her legacy to be what she did for kids in Iowa. Her 3 things she hasn't wavered on are 1) academics, 2) athletics, and 3) nutrition. Caitlin majored in marketing while at Iowa, and her mom majored in marketing as well, working for 2 different big companies, so now her mom has taken over Caitlin's foundation that she started a couple of years earlier while Caitlin continues to work, rake in money, putting that money to good use for kids in Iowa, and tries to sign autographs for as many kids as she can after every game.

Angel Reese is a good rebounder - but statistically she makes 29% of her shots from under the hoop. Let that sink in. She misses 71% of her shots that are "layups". Now... if you want to talk rebounding - she's big booty, big body and can grind in there. She doesn't jump much though, I think she has like a 3" vertical... watch her for yourself. She does get the boards though. Where Reese went wrong here - and her people/PR folks/mgmt/agent went way wrong... is they tried to latch her to Caitlin Clark. BAD MOVE!!! Caitlin is a complete player. She is a QB on that floor. She has eyes up court non-stop, if you slip up whatsoever she's going to make you pay for it. She improves her teammates substantially. At the start of the year most of these girls even Boston were having trouble catching quick passes and shots she was lobbing to them. They've stepped up and look at their performance now. Mitchell is a beast, Hull turning into a sniper, Boston's confidence through the roof and getting big looks for attention that has to be diverted to CC. If Reese was smart - she would have entered the league and tried to be the best defensive player - and people would be hailing her as a Defensive wizard... the queen of the boards. Instead, she got jealous like the rest of these hens have - that too much attention is going to one player. Well, just like when Magic and Bird came in - they got the attention... they were great. Same with Jordan, same with Kobe, same with Lebron. Great players are going to get that recognition - and those people had fan bases that were growing. Same with CC. Reese didn't have a massive fan base. Now, some of this is the media's fault for not putting Reese in check immediately. Like, literally saying - how can you be serious that you're similar... you're not. You're a rebounder and she's an absolute beast of being an on floor general, not to mention leading in almost every category. While simultaneously making her teammates better. I think the moment that Reese dials it in, and starts focusing on being a Defensive leader... she'll find peace. This "i'm just as good as Caitlin" nonsense. No your not. That's like saying Clyde Drexler was just as good as Jordan. NOT ON ANY PLANET!!! Clyde was a great player - but not even remotely close to the GOAT - Jordan. That's a very very very kind analogy I offer btw. I think Reese is 1 dimensional - whereas Caitlin a different position entirely just contributes so much more...

Biggest surprise quality basketball play does not equate to Best Rookie Player or rookie of the year. There is no biggest surprise player of the year. Clark has been the best rookie & her team has turned the winning corner after a difficult start of the season.

So in fewer minutes (not an extra year like Swoopes wants us to believe)CC had 3,951 points to 3,527 for Plum. CC had 990 rebounds to 596 for Plum. CC had 1,144 assists to 523 for Plum.

Clark has been struggling with 3 pointers lately . She still hits 2 of 5 in a game but she adapts by setting up other players . Her assists have set up Boston , Mitchell ,Smith , and Samuelson . They have all stepped up and made wins for the team. I'm hoping Caitlin gets her MOJO back and gives the public the 3 point show that made her famous . Everything she does helps the team . The Fever is continuously improving and winning games .
