#1 vs. #2. Biggest Border War game ever. And Mizzou wins in Beakerville to regain the #1 ranking.

The early 90s Mizzou teams should’ve won at least 1 national title. A crapload of talent...
@benstolen69 Жыл бұрын
@Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT Dennis Gates will finally cross that threshold for us at some point in his tenure here
@mihnty Жыл бұрын
@@benstolen69i think you’re right, gates seems like a winner and he’s making serious noise without the most talented roster, if he’s a good recruiter, which he definitely was at cleveland state, he could definitely win a national title or at least get us to the final 4 if he gets enough time here
@benstolen69 Жыл бұрын
@@mihnty Yeah national titles are so difficult to win, and even all time great teams miss out on them. I think a final 4 would solidify him as the best coach in school history. Of course i'm getting miles ahead of myself here, let's see what he can do as he builds his culture and future recruiting classes here.
@mihnty Жыл бұрын
@@benstolen69 i think the good news for the immediate future is that this season’s team is built for a march madness run, under the radar, chaotic style of play, and most importantly a massive emphasis on teamwork, we may be inconsistent but i wouldn’t be comfortable betting against us under any circumstances. in the long term, dennis is charismatic, the students love him, the fans love him, and the fans love him, i think that’ll give him some wiggle room for a rough season or two. overall, we’ve got a good class coming in and the SEC is primed for a new top dog after kentucky’s recent struggles

Hard to believe this Mizzou team didn't win it all. They had everything. Dr. Detroit did a hell of a recruiting job in Detroit

Missouri, my hat is off to you guys. I'm a lifetime KU fan, but the Tigers have the better football team this season. Chase Daniel kicked our butts. Good luck the rest of the season, and we'll try to stick it to you next year!

I knew Norm Stewart had a recruiting pipeline in Detroit, but this was 4 out of 5 starters from there! (Where were Michigan and Michigan State?) Missouri has generally struggled since Norm retired. We hope for a return to glory.

Ron Franklin AND Dick Vitale? I'm in heaven👍
@ryanweifze32375 жыл бұрын
The reason I liked Norm Stewart as the coach of the Tigers is he would stop right there by Royals and Chiefs Stadium and stay the night there he refused to stay on the Kansas side of the State line I always found that funny I really wish that they would revive this rivalry all the way around in every sport that way it just doesn't benefit one team like in basketball it would benefit KU Or in Football it would obviously benefit MU but in all sports but Kansas for some reason doesn't want to do it

Missouri STILL has no Final Fours. Only 3 Elite8 appearances since this game. KU has 10 Elite8 appearances in last 17 years. 40 mid major schools have made at least 1 Final Four. Mizz?
@jasonpeters98653 жыл бұрын
@John Barkley I respect your loyalty to Mizz. But Mizz is far fr a football school. Losing Bowl rec, never even played in a BCS Bowl during BCS years, hasn't even played in a National Title game, Mizz hasn't won a Conf Title in over 50 years. Sorry bud..Mizz isn't a football school. Shit, Nebraska is a former Football Powerhouse that is now just a football school. That's because Nebraska hasn't won a Conf Title in over 20 years. But Nebraska still has all those National Titles. Nebraska fball and Indiana basketball is same. Former Powerhouse's. Indiana basketball? Just 1 Elite8 Appearance in last 28 years. That's insane.

@John Barkley Sounds like u all got a QB for future. Maybe by his Jr season he'll have Mizz competing for a Playoff spot or an SEC Conf Title. Mizz is a QB school. I'll give y'all that.

@John Barkley Dude...Does playing KU in fball even matter anymore? 2007-2009? Feels like 50 years ago. Anyways, I'm still suffering over 2020 NCAA Tournament being canceled. I called "Chiefs/Jayhawks" SB/National Titles for 2020. Chiefs won, Jayhawks were winners of 16straight, just beat #1Bay in Waco. KU was by far the most overwhelming #1overall seed maybe ever in NCAA Tournament history. Most efficient KU team by stats in my 32 years as a fan. Never will know. Doke/Dotson gone. Fucking Covid-19.
