Excellent, thank you! I very much like the way you move your presentation along, not too fast, but definitely moving from point to point, a very nice pace, and without fluff or irrelevant asides. I also like that when you hold up the record cover, physically, to show us, you keep it there long enough for the viewer to pause and take a screenshot, for purposes of later seeking it out. Check out the Tacet records that play backwards ( from inside to outside) and achieve great dynamic range! I did a video on them in my channel.

I really think you should start up again sharing all the knowledge you have about audiophile classical pressings. Most of us are in the dark in a sea of so many possibilities. We all need to know what sounds best as well as the best performances from old to new pressings. You have a great way of presenting and obviously have a huge collection making possible to share a lot of content. Classical is getting buzz again. Audiophiles are realizing if you just, put your normal musical preferences aside for a few listens to some classical music, you’ll find out how much you actually really do like classical music. There are some incredibly emotionally moving performances out there. Audiophiles are realizing this. The time is now. I think you should start back up. And thank you for sharing what you know. If you can write well in a journalist tone as you present your videos, contact Michael Fremer, he likes good writers.

I am being told the best way in vinyl if the primary is recorded on vinyl directly. Of course , That is utmost difficult just like taking one good simple picture (in negatives of course) .

Thanks for the very useful video. In the UK Tacet cost double the Canada price which makes it a non-starter for me, £40-60 per record, plus VAT. Chasing the Dragon, which charges £50 per record similarly.

Naxos? She generally do CDs and streaming from the beginning. If there were records in open reel tape, there would be a chance of vinyl released.

Hi mate. During the 60's, there were many record companies competing with each other using the best recording equipment to make their records superior in sound to each other. From the USA we had Command Records, many of which used 35 MM magnetic film instead of tape.. King Records from Japan had their Super Dynamic Sound Series records which were simply amazing in sound quality. Sheffield Labs from the US used direct to disc mastering, which sounded very realistic. One record i use to demonstrate my equipment is The Carmen Ballet, music of Georges Bizet freely arranged by Rodian Shchedrin. Strings and percussion of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra,conducted by Gennady Rozhdestvensky on the Russian Melodiya Label.

I discovered this video about a week ago and based on your recommendations I ordered 2 from Tacet: Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 & Symphonies 1,2 & 8. I also ordered 2 from Chasing the Dragon: the Clare Teal and the Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I want to sincerely the you, you hit a homerun with your recommendations. I played the Clare Teal first and I loved the wide dynamic range of the recording and well as the great sound. I jumped several times at the sound of the kick drum. The vocals are so smoooootttthhh. The Vivaldi's The Four Season's D2D is incredible. My wife called it a near religious experience. I would have to say this is the best sounding baroque classical recording I have ever had on my turntable. It is on to the two Beethoven LPs, but I first wanted to thank you so much for the recommendations. The video itself was very well done and quite professional. I liked and subscribed and look forward to more videos!

Thanks for your new video, what you said is true some of the Audiophile recordings (even expensive ones) that they are noisy! I did purchase the Witches Brew recording, on your recommendation (has not arrived yet) hope it's quite T.Y.
