So many people think it's his age, that's a misconception- it's definitely age and his voice continuously getting deeper with each passing year

I think the tour in 86 kinda ruined it because vocal injury kinda does that to you.. even after surgery his falsetto kinda went weaker and weaker （ofc smoking weed didnt help either

Well with age your voice naturally deepens. Possibly a small part of that was surgery, but he maintained his tenor range until the mid 90s and even afterwards uses some falsetto just not much. He has toured his whole life, he has injured his vocal cords plenty already.

Its Obvious he didn't loose his falsetto immediately after his surgery, its a little raspy but he can still hit those high notes here :)
