2 Player Mode Leftovers - Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Look, it's SA2B! Usually I'd play the Dreamcast game instead, but in this case you can't find most of this stuff in that version.
SA2B's 2 Player mode has a lot of leftovers in the stages that were added on to the GameCube release. Some are only minor, but others not so much.
Also don't worry about the lines and stretched text boxes, that's just a side effect of changing the screen size without turning off the 2P camera.

Here is another thing about Cosmic Wall, if you didn't get Eggman's armor upgrade in story mode, you can actually find it and collect it in the 2p version of the stage.

From what I can remember, it only counts towards 1P Eggman.

It's like in Sonic Heroes, where you can go out of bounds to find more Goal Rings for Team Rose in some Stages. It counts as a regular goal ring, so they go to the next stage.

Neat thing I’ve found In the 2P version of Radical Highway, they remove the trail of rings you’re supposed to use to get to Shadow’s Fire Ring, but with a crafty spin dash jump, you can get there anyway. The Fire Ring isn’t there, but the rocket to carry you back to the stage still is! Thought this was worth putting out there in case it wasn’t documented

There's a leftover pipe with a condor animal in it shortly after the first checkpoint in Final Rush 2 player SA2B. There's also an extra life in the level as well. Both are accessible via just playing the stage normally.

Nice share, I managed to get to find some in Cosmic Wall, Final Rush & Wild Canyon with just glitches. For Cosmic Wall , you'll need Tails' alternate costume to hover north-east (although we won't see as much as what you showed us), for Final Rush, you have to go on top of the tunnel and then Spin Dash & jump from a certain angle, and after respawning, the ARK pieces that chases Sonic shows up just before you enter the tunnel, I believe they show up when player 1 is around, and for Wild Canyon, go to the top section and there should chest somewhere, you have to climb the wall and try to get yourself in between the wall & the chest (without breaking it) until you fall through, I realised that Tikal uses Knuckles' quotes and Chaos uses Rouge's quotes while looking at the Mystic Ruin. Sorry if the last glitch wasn't clear enough, I tried to explain the best I could, because I don't have this game anymore and I can't remember where I found that video. :(

Final Rush also has two leftover extra lives. One is in the lost Chao area (no surprise), and the other one is under the room between checkpoints 5 and 6. I found them both without hacking, and the latter was an accidental discovery.

2P Results. It's the exact same object, but the game behaves different when you're in 2P mode. The Metal Harbor and Final Rush goals are missing probably because they were moved rather than copied into their new locations.

I have a request. Don't know if it would be possible but those numbers behind the player select in 2P mode that tell you how many matches you've won, is it possible to hack to see how high it would count? My curiosity comes from me playing this game with a friend so much we racked up about 750 wins on the 1P side. And then his memory card got lost. so match number 1000 never ended up happening.

You don't need chests to see the one on final rush. With a well timed spin dash jump at a ramp, you can pass the death plane and beat the whole game without the bounce bracelet. I always love showing people that trick.

there's a rabbit in final rush multiplayer stage that you can obtain normally near the stage's beginning, next to where the first chao box is suppossed to be. it's also in a box good luck

Found the Final Rush one before, without use of cheats, in the PSN version. It just requires a well-timed spin-dash, although you will die after. The crumbling parts will still show up though.

Also if you use the time rewind cheat (so you could get a time of Zero at the end) in 2P mode you can ACTUALLY get an emblem and even Chaos drives!

I never found any of the Level 1 stage stuff you found or Cosmic Wall, however you clearly missed Final Chase which if you haven't gotten any of the checkpoints before the 1st 1P exclusive checkpoint you can start a 2P race on the 1P exclusive sections of the level, which was obvious. If you can get out of bounds for Egg Quarters & Death Chamber you'll find some interesting stuff the fans for Red/Blue Path remain for the latter, 1 of the 2 has extra rooms, Egg Quarters has the Lost Chao rooms, & the room where you use mystic melody left over. Now for Security Hall, the 1P upper area remains & if 1 Player is up there the other player will notice the blocks blocking the Treasure Scope room are no longer there & can even get trapped in there. Lastly past the 2P Goal in City Escape there's still stuff all the way up to right before the Truck spawns. You found 4 things that most wouldn't guess, even if you missed obvious stuff.

SA2 has two models for the characters, the 2P mode model is called "LOD" (Level Of Detail) and it's also used in 1P mode if the character is too far from the camera.

We all know SA2B is inferior to the dreamcast version because they replaced big in two player mech battles! Its also possible to get to the unused content in final rush with a spinash jump off of the opening tunnel, or jumping with metal sonic.

Yes, the higher parts of the ark have no collision, so, if you get high enough, you can go through and get to it, with metal sonic, its just luck dodging death planes
