Easily spotted Rxh3, but it still loses. Harder to see if playing. Carlini allowed a beginner positional mistake to happen - so many dark squared weaknesses around his king. Ouch!

Carlini should have taken the pawn with his rook while targeting the bishop. If Caesar dared to take his rook in response, he would be mated with carlini's queen.

I can see now why you guys have this community guidelines thing to temper people's comments but I want to say something here. I have been watching this channel for a while because it is enjoyable and the chess study is really kind of interesting to follow. These are interesting chess lessons and restudying the games to find out what moves would have been better are wonderful for people who want to become better at chess. However, in the past, players like Mike and Dave and Carlini, the trash talkers, would practice their trash talking in a very impersonal way. They were talking this way to distract their opponents and were basically doing so in a way that brought attention away from the game and on to themselves. Mike would scream at you that "you're not that good". But it wasn't really a personal attack on anyone, it was just something said in the moment to distract his opponent. But now I'm listening to trash talk like in this game where Carl is being attacked personally for the entire game. This is objectification. Carl becomes an object of attack. The game of chess is going on, but Carl himself, not as a human being but some inanimate object is under attack and the defeat is not a win at a game of chess but a defeat of Carl. And because he takes the trouble to attack Carl personally, I see no beauty in the result. I don't see a person who lost a game of chess and can go study harder and try again. I see the complete defeat of a human being where he has to go home and rethink his existence. Maybe it's because you guys are on KZbin and are becoming more popular that you get these so-called "ringers" coming in to play. But these are not trash talkers. These are assassins. These are killers not friendly chess players. This is not Cafe chess and some over the table trash talk to add spice. These are murders. And I want to tell you that you guys need to think about what you're doing because I'm losing interest in this channel very quickly. I have learned a lot from Carlini and I don't remember him hurting anybody. All he ever did is praise himself for being a great escape artist and a clever strategist. I don't remember Carl ever trying to harm anyone else. Or Boston Mike. Or Dave. This is something else entirely.
