Its a valid question to persuade our tech journey.And also many IT employees and youtubers use to tell thier estimated salary to give us idea related to financial stability. I don't think its a useless question or a bad manner. If he don't want to tell, it's his choice.

People still don't understand that pandemic tech job boom was result of supply crunch of tech. people available and sudden increase in demand fuelled by free money due low interest rate. Now the situation is completely reversed there is no high demand as predicted. Money is costly as interest rate are at peak and every company is chasing quarterly profit, less funding in startups, result in no so called 50,60,70 LPA, 1 crore packages. Era of 3 Lpa soon will be back. Whatever goes up comes down it is just matter of time.
