I've been watching a lot of videos about resin because I have purchased a lot of materials and want to make sure that I can save some of them in a practical way and not waste anything that I could save. This was the best video I have seen, and trust me I have spent a hole day doing it. Thank you. Keep doing what your doing and hope you well

Thank you so much for showing me how to clean my silly cups I never even thought of it and I hate that I just throw them away. Now I feel much better that I can just reuse them I don’t know why I didn’t think of it myself. I have larger cups that I bought at the dollar tree that do the same thing and I just keep reusing them oh my goodness great minds think alike though I use a sharpie to mark my cups as well. Thanks again happy creating

It is soooo my pleasure Terri. I'd honestly share more if I didn't have to do the "real job" thing. 😄😂 I'm so happy that Amazon lets some of us set those recommendation lists up for everyone. I get a little obsessed with finding the best vendor for each item (price, reputation, etc.) so I'm happy the "shop" comes in handy. If you are an Amazon shopper now and then, and could click on any item in my shop before shopping (it can be for ANYthing... socks, toilet paper, whatever) I get credit for it and it helps me keep supplies on hand for videos. I want to say thank you for sprinkling so much love throughout my channel... I truly smile when I see your name in my feed. May the paints and resin be kind to you. 😘

So much better than trying to wipe out cups after pouring, which is, oddly enough, the recommended method on the resin site for the brand I use. So messy! This is the way to do it!!!! Yay!!! Thanks for sharing this tip, especially about the tape for the drips in the cup, Brilliant!
@MyriamsNature7 жыл бұрын
My pleasure... So glad it helped! I know just what you mean about wiping them right after a pour... soooo messy and sticky, etc. Honestly sometimes I just let the first cured layer stay in the cup and can use it again for mixing colors AFTER mixing my clear batch first in a clean cup. Using "dirty" cups with cured resin at the bottom for mixing the actual clear resin will throw off your measurements. Hope that made sense. 😊

I'm gonna have to try that. My brain block automatically makes my hand drop the cups in a baggie...And yes, I have been left with none to mix in. I do want to say that the short cups do turn over on me as soon as I place a wooden stick in it...But then again... It's always the operator...Thank you for sharing. Enjoy the resin topics, projects and tempting runs towards the bargain Mart's for discoveries! Much love to all. 🕉

In the short cups, you can break the sticks in half and they'll be less likely to pull the cup over... even though wood sticks cause microbubbles. Marina Sharp didn't believe me until she tested it with her vacuum chamber. Wood has lots of pores that hold air and release it in the resin. For small amounts of resin, precise measuring is more critical, as just a little bit off can cause it to not cure properly. The tall, skinny cups would be a little more accurate for measuring. Just think back to chemistry class with that tall, skinny glass measuring thing (I forget the name of it). I know - this is like Justin Bieber trying to tell Michael Jackson how to sing. You know MUCH MORE than I do - this is mainly for any newbies reading this.

So your showing the measure and drawing on the cup was that a 1:2 measure 2:1 or whatever as my resin says to mix for every 10 ml of one is 10 ml of the hardener too, some great ideas cheers
