🪜🌻HOW TO MAKE A QUILT LADDER
Supplies: 4, redwood 2” X 2” eight (8’) foot boards (get the straightest boards possible)
12 , 2 ½” deck screws
Wood Glue
Sanding sponge
Paint or spray lacquer
Saw 1/8” off the end of your boards to get a nice flat, smooth surface. Mark the same distance on both boards where you want the top and each rung on the ladder. Cut the rungs and using wood glue and a deck screw, screw the rung onto the side where you have marked the board. Stand the side up so the rungs are standing up and using wood glue on the end of the rungs screw them down. Let the wood glue cure for a couple hours and use spray lacquer or paint your ladder to the finish you desire.
PRESSING TABLE CART
You can get the beefy wood legs for your tabletop from Lowes or Home Depot. They are premade for furniture. I screwed them on form the top of the table with a counter sink bit, then filled the hole. Cover the wood with at least 2 layers of cotton batting, then the heat resistant iron board cloth then a pretty fabric if you want. Sit this in the top of a three tier cart and you have an ironing station! 🪜🌻

I enjoy working with wood and I always get the hubby involved...I don't like the saws but the drill and the jigsaw are the ones I will use. We always have scraps of wood that comes in handy. I have a few things that I will be working on someday soon. The quilt rack looks really good. I found a large piece of wool that I am planning to use to cover a board as an ironing station.

I need to make me a ladder. I've been to Idaho a couple of times. I worked for Zachry in Soda Springs. I'm from Kentucky and we came there in May once and it was snowing lol. I left my house in shorts and by the time we got there I needed jeans and a coat

Your ladder and ironing station are great!!! I love them. Yes, I like using a power staple gun too. When I used to re-upholster it was a constant companion.

Awesome and thanks for the video! Ive wanted a quilt ladder or 3 😂. Ive had it in m head that it's much more laborband product intensive. You and the engineer havebahown me different. I have a chop saw (need to check the blade to see of mine is too aggresive or not) I've got the drill, a carpenter's square, and a sanding sponge. Just need lumber and time 😊 Thanks again!

I love my ironing station. My husband made mine a bit bigger but it still fits perfectly on my cart. I love using my three tiered cart. It’s the perfect holder for my current projects.

Insul Bright will work just fine Jan, in fact, I think the same as the heat proof fabric. Or you could use them both, or just one. I just like my cute fabric on top and that’s the one I’ll have to change when it gets dirty. Thanks for watching my channel.😍😊❤️🪜🐥

I have an engineer too🥰! Sooo handy to have around. You can use your curtain rod to hang more quilts. I have one above my design wall so I can photograph a quilt without taking everything off the design wall. Pants hangers work so well on the curtain rod.

Very nice ladder. Looks like a project for the near future here. Was that grayish silver fabric special for ironing boards? Smart thinking using the cart to make a ironing station. I like it. On day I’m going to make the trip for one of your retreats…our schedules never match up. Lol
