Nice setup.. Looks alot like mine. I used a plastic trash can. I would be worried the metal one would get crushed somehow and not pop back out afterwards.

I considered buying a plastic barrel of Marketplace and cutting top out but for now this seems to work fine other than the tapered lid sucked flat the first time I turned it on.

you should dx the 3" hose and run a 4" to CNC. You lose CFM with the 3"

How long did it take for your filter to stop smelling? Still working on getting my setup all installed but it stinks to heaven!
