Side note: today I had a big crash and words cannot describe how thankful I am that I was wearing all of my riding gear despite the heat. Bruises instead of breaks. A torn up helmet instead of a head injury. I’m home in bed instead of at the hospital. Yes it can be hot and cumbersome but do yourself a huge favor and put your gear on.

@joelcowdreyiii67455 жыл бұрын
Dirt N Iron My helmet is a Bell Moto-9 Flex. It came out of the crash with some scrapes, lost paint and a broken visor. I’m wondering if it will need to be replaced. My chest protector is a full wrap-around Fox Raptor with shoulder and upper arm attachments. I was very lucky to have the shoulder pads in place because I hit hard there too. I have a red mark there instead of an injury. Was wearing plain Titan Knee/shin guards, nothing fancy but the knee cup did its job. I hate to think what could of happened to my knee. Boots are alpinestars tech 7. I’m even glad I had the thin hip pads that come velcroed into riding pants (fox racing on those). I managed to bend all four of my fingers on the right hand backwards so they’re all stiff and swollen. Besides a big bruise on my thigh and a sore elbow, the fingers are really the only thing slowing me down the day after.

Good video. I had a 350 and now I'm on a 250 two stroke. I find the two stroke much easier to ride almost everywhere. I went with the 250 over the 300 because I wanted something that would rev out a bit better. I'm not very heavy so the reduced torque and low end of the 250 compared to the 300 isn't an issue for me. I find the 250 a bit more manageable on the pipe as well!

Ride both and see what suits your riding style. I do dual sport type riding which requires some pavement on occasion. In those situations, the 350 works better than the 300. If I had tons of offroad with no trail connecting pavement, I'd probably buy a Beta XTrainer 300.

I just subscribed. I have been enjoying your vids lately, good content. I too think the 300 is a superior platform for slower and technical. It is the weapon of choice for our Arizona technical single track were the 350’s are a little more stall prone. However, I do like the linear power and wider spread of power the 4/Strokes provides on flowing trails and open faster stuff. You are located in Kalifornia, may question is this: how does the 350 v 300 compare on large hill climbs? I’m talking Carnegie OHV hills / Jawbone Canyon and Spangler Hills mega sand hill climbs. That would be a great comparison. Sorry about the novel, but how about testing a Beta 390. They seem to have comparable weight to the 350’s, and from what I have heard / read, they have the power focused more in the lower end / mid range and may be better at slower speeds ( I.e. not stalling) were torque is your friend for dealing with technical stall prone terrain. I’d like a 4 stroke again, but it needs to deal with slow rocky sections without a tendency to stall or kill my clutch hand. Thank you 👍. BTW I just noticed this vid is over a year old lol.

Ridden both, and they are great bikes, its personal choice, and i prefer 300 !
@joelcowdreyiii67455 жыл бұрын
I own both. The 350 is designed for high speed open desert terrain. A lot of folks blame poor clutch usage for stalling the bike on rocky uphills; however, it’s really more of a lean condition from the ECU mapping when suddenly opening a lot of throttle, and the motocross origin of the motor with its lighter rotating mass. I prefer technical single track so I like my 300 much better. My 350 was frustrating on rocky single track until I spent a grand on a Radius CX Rekluse. Before the Rekluse, I both loved and hated the 350. I still kind of hate it.

ISLAND RIDERS DIRTBIKES The 350 is a great bike for a young buck riding out in the desert. It does what it’s designed for well. I didn’t do my due diligence in researching this purchase. I’m really happy with the 300 motor and suspension and handling (50 years old, woods rider).

Wtf 4t's good everywhere. Y'all sitting thinking you're superior on your 2 strokes. Turns out it's just how you ride, how you like it

yea, its personal preference .. but there is difference how these bikes feel.. I like 4t too.. I have both ;)

Hi:) Am i the only one that hates the sound of 2 stroke? Seem to be the only one.. On dirt bike tracks there is nothing wrong with it. But on Supermoto/Enduro on roads hearing them is just awful. No respect for the people that hear that shit (no offense❤)

One owned FIVE KX500s. 1 86, 1 87, 3 89s. 3rd gear starts, ride it like an automatic, 3rd gear everywhere. I can't believe they got rid of 230 lb 55 go 2T for those 260 lb 65 go 4 strokes. Two strokes scare the piss out of you because they are frantic, you THINK you're going faster than you are. 4 strokes are like a deceptive woman, they're trying to kill you all the time. Because they are NOT frantic you don't realize how fast you ARE going until you're crashing at high speed. Big huge assed bowl turns because they CAN'T cut and thrust like a two stroke. Jumps 10 feet out of a turn because that is one thing they're good for is throwing you far off a jump. Try railing a turn 10mph FASTER to make the same jump, THAT'S how 2 Strokes make you a better riderOne owned FIVE KX500s. 1 86, 1 87, 3 89s. 3rd gear starts, ride it like an automatic, 3rd gear everywhere.
