Quite often the difference in price between a 15-in and 12 inch isn't that much. That makes people prone to throw 15s in instead of 12s because it's more cone area for not much more money. It takes a wiser person to realize that 12's in the right box sound better than 15s in the wrong box. This is a killing setup dude!

@@bailey2517 I just mean if you have space for a proper sixed 12 woofer, but force a 15 in the same size (non optimal) enclosure the 12 will perform better. The 15 in a proper sized enclosure will outperform the 12 most of the time. But a 15 with the same motor size as the 12 isnt always optimal since motor force didnt change, but moving mass did, hence much larger box required and possibly less cone control. Subs with motors this large like Sundown NVS etc wont suffer from motor force deficiency on a larger cone obviously though.
