Hey Jerry, I’m looking at possibly implementing a two tether climbing system. Just out of curiosity, have you tried just using two foot tethers and a tree squeeze lineman’s belt? Just seems like it might be simpler? Interested in your thoughts.

love the size and weight of amsteel but i still choose 9.5+ mm double dry climb rope, climbing tubular webbing, or cordage for designed for alpine mountaineering because it makes me feel more confident and itll give me a little more window for error. love your videos...

Comfort level is 90% of confidence, that's for sure.

How many times have you used them?

Well said Jerry. I started to say part of the prob w/ the country now is all the lawsuits and lawyers fishing for settlements. But the root cause is everyone not taking responsibility for themselves. Ultimately we each are responsible for our own safety. I think you put it well, that we have to do what we are comfortable with. The beauty of your system is how inexpensive it is. You could easily make a new one each year for very little cost. Let me ask you this, how feasible would it be to use your oplux rappel rope as your main tether with your adjustable bridge and leg tether prusik'd to it? I know you'd have to account for branches w/ a carabiner where it goes around the tree. But that would be a possible solution.

Thanks John. Ya, we definitely need to research for ourselves and figure out what our own comfort level is. OPLUX rappel rig make a great main tether! A good buddy of mine, Josh Mills has a few videos doing just that. Check him out! I just hate dealing with all that rope until I come down.
