THINGS THAT MISS ME ABOUT SPAIN. 1) The shops are closed at lunchtime until 6:00 p.m., with the inconvenience for the foreign visitor. We must remember that it is the foreigners who come who must adapt to our customs and not us to theirs. Here some minority businesses close their doors to be able to eat and rest because then they open in the afternoons to continue working. Here you work to live and do not live to work. 2) Siestas: It is a personal thing, no one is forced to do it, nor is it customs (as many say) that all Spaniards take a siesta, that is a hoax and gives rise to wrong ideas. 3) Many of the foreigners (Hispanic American countries) come with erroneous ideas about Spain, that if the Spanish are certain ways, with strange ideas and different customs. What has been said, for the Spanish, if they go to your countries, the same thing happens to us with you. There are things we like and things we don't like and if we don't adapt to some of your customs, we'll go where we came from. So we respect your customs and we do not expect you to adapt to us. 4) We are tired of the many hoaxes that Anglophiles and Francophiles have invented for centuries, putting medals on their chests and presenting themselves as saviors of the world, pointing out that the Spaniards are half savages, but they really enjoy when they come to Spain and the blindfolds fall off their eyes! 4) Everyone agrees that Spain is a safe country, but there is no doubt that we are going through a crisis thanks to this permissive communist government that they want to establish and that we Spaniards are tired of them, perhaps the foreigners who come will receive another impact of society, but nothing more than they have to turn their heads and look at the problems that may exist in your countries and if not, why do so many emigrants from your countries come to Spain? 5) We Spaniards are not racists, but we get tired of people from around there criticizing and getting into things that they don't care about and trying to change our customs, something that we will not allow and it is normal for us to get upset and even respond badly to them Anyway, so would you. That's all because the list is very long! A cordial greeting to all of you
