Zadeys response just shows that he has no clue about how reversing or programming work. The random bytes at the end won't even be part of any section defined in the pe header. So It's like the bytes don't exist for the Disassembler. It's just useless garbage. A quick look at the section table would reveal what really is part of the program and what not. BUT if this really stop's people from getting banned it seems that the way vac checks signatures is really primitive and shitty... which would be no surprise

Adding bytes at the end is basically a file pumper that will enlarge the file size but it will still be the same program with a bunch of horseshit on top basically doing nothing against sig scanning unless that sig scanning is done on the whole .text at once and nothing else.

i love you master but lemme explain why this (COULD) work. you add bytes to the end, volvo opens up your csgo memory and says "shit theres another file here, lemme compare it to the other detected files. hmm, the OVERALL signature is different, so it should be fine." afaik valve doesnt go this into detail with scanning files, it just checks the overall file hash and compares it. it doesn't open up ida and check everything

not sure if adding junkcode in cpp files is the same as adding random bytes with hxd, but for me adding junk and disabling optimization has kept my paste undetected for a year+

Its the same yes, however because vac is a state of the art anti-cheat you can make stuff undetected, but again any other anticheat besides vac detects that, because as you saw in the video the signature didn't really change at all

@Zadey It just works because vac does a shitty job, not because you have any brain. Any half decent programmer knows how to get rid of your eof garbage. Just take a look at PE Header and how the sections of a program are defined there. Guess what... your random bytes won't be listed there. So it's fairly easy to just get the original program. Either check the Sections or just go to OptionalHeader -> SizeOfImage and you have the size of the orignal program which you can hash OR just load it up in ida, create a sig like masterlooser did and put it in your anti-cheat db and you fucked all the "I ADD BYTZZZ AT THE END I'M SAFEEE BURRBRBR" Kids
